Did Humber really pitch 5 innings with 22 pitches, all strikes? Or is my MLB Gameday broken?

My Gameday has to be broken, that would be insane.

There have been pitch issues like that during the spring. He threw more than 22.

If he did, then he probably just won a rotation spot.

    5 pitches in the 5th
    5 pitches in the 6th
    3 pitches in the 7th
    3 pitches in the 8th
    6 pitches in the 9th

According to Gameday. Could every player except for Matt Downs have really swung at the 1st pitch?

With Bedard out, I don't see how he can't be guaranteed a spot right now.

Humber has been pitching great this Spring. One of the few pitching bright spots for the Astros

He had the look of a star in college his pro career has been up and down which is a guy a team that won't be competitive like the Astros should go after

No. Lyles had a similar pitch count according to Gameday a couple of appearances ago. Humber threw more than 22 pitches.

Game day doesn't count all pithces. They count. 3 strikes for a strikeout, 1 strike for a ball in play (ground out, fly out, hit, etc) and 4 balls for a walk.

So if it were to have taken, say, 8 pitches for Humber to get someone to ground out, game day would only count 1 strike.

An example would be a couple of days ago game day had shown peacock threw 19 pitches, 15 of them strikes. But then McTaggart reported that in reality he threw 53 pitches, 29 of them being strikes

Also could might have just been for the one game, or maybe even just for one batter. Only sticks in my mind because the guy was having a several pitch at bat.

No real surprises there. I'm sad how much I've soured on Cosart after this stint in ST. At one time I thought he would be the next Oswalt. Heck, now I'm not even sure he can throw enough strikes to be a late inning reliever.

6 hits and 3 runs in 3 innings for Jordan Lyles today. His ERA now stands at 19.13.

He fanned 2, induced 5 groundouts, and 2 flyouts.

I don't think it was for just one bat, like I said it happened a couple of games ago (game 16) with peacock and I got the information from someone over at the Astros blog and they seem to know what they're talking about.
