That's why we dumped Pat. Now we have a guy with a high ceiling who plays big. 5 star thread, hate on homie.
Man -- there have been a lot of bad threads in the last few days, what with the Rockets coming off of a bad loss and having so many days between games, but this one...this stupid thread...man, I think it is the worst. I mean, it isn't even a funny knee jerk, typical myopic crazy fan post. It is just tepid, skewed, unfair bashing of a player who has been on the team a couple of weeks -- who, by the way, does not even play the same position as the other players on the list -- some of whom it took more than a couple of weeks to establish themselves by the way. You put a lot of work into a dumb post, and it is just mind numbingly incomprehensible to me what you could have been thinking when you posted it. You knew no one was going to like this right? You knew people were going to bash you for this right? Right!? I'm completely undecided on Robinson, but this OP is just so ridiculous.
Just want to point out as well that Hayes was drafted in the 2nd year of the Rockets existence. The first player ever drafted by the Rockets was Pat Riley. So yeah... you got that one wrong.
I like this thread - it's random, entertaining, and fun. What else are we going to do with this 3 day layoff? Twiddle are thumbs? I don't care what the answer is. I just like reading all your responses.
I think most people here can live with the fact that Thomas Robinson may not pan out to be a perennial All-Star and a future Hall of Famer.
Cool story. Now let's talk about why the Heat will never win a championship because Mike Miller is not as good as Michael Jordan.
the last picture is about PPat not Robinson. I just thought it would be nice to have a pic of both him and Robinson since Robinson replacecd Pat. A lot of people cried when Big E, Moses, Ralph, Hakeem and Yao ended their careers with the Rockets either via trade or retirement. That was understandable. I don't know why there is so much angst over trading a player with as little upside as 2Pat. Pat is a lot of things but he is not a difference maker.
Sometimes I think people think we traded Blake Griffin or the like for Thomas Robinson. It's PPat people, at best a career bench player unless he plays for the Bobcats.
What is this guy trying to prove? You could replace anyone in Robinsons spot and they would fail to compare to the above mentioned!smh
