Shucks. I was always a fan of his. But I don't know enough about Texans' cap to know if this was a move made for cap reasons or not. If so, then I understand.

The Texans save $2.5 million under the cap by waiving WR Kevin Walter, who took a paycut last year. He started 6 years for Texans.

Hope this means they have a plan moving forward to fill the WR2 position that doesn't consist of Martin/Jean moving up the depth chart without competition for those snaps.

patriots pick him up and win a superbowl with 2 td catches by KW. after the game, everyone says "oh noes, whys we gets rid of walter? rick smith biggest idiot!"

It's a good thing though considering how we're back against it when it comes to the cap. It could also mean that kubiak is going to try a more open approach in the passing game, like when kyle was here.

Hope this means we're legitimately trying to get a #2.

These two second year WRs will compete with WR draftees which will probably be 1st or 2nd rounders.

Walters wasn't a bad football player. He battled with the best of them and without his blocking the Texans wouldn't have made the playoffs. We do we sign David Andersen and Cut Owen Daniel?

I'm sure they'll draft a WR in the draft, but it is always tough to go into the draft needing to draft a WR and have them contribute right away. Hopefully, they'll hit on one either in the draft, with an in-house candidate, or with a moderate FA signing. With Foster contributing less and less in the passing game, they need someone to help out AJ and OD.

We wouldn't have made the playoffs without Kevin Walter's blocking?

I hope my sarcasm meter is broken, as they say.

I think Eric Winston is coming back... Run blocking makes Arian even more dangerous, then top WR in draft to keep the defense having to respect the deep threat. Watch. ..maybe
