Good for the Heat. It was fun for us when it happened to the Rockets, so I'm sure that the dozen or so genuine Miami Heat fans enjoy it as well. Spoiler Wait. Conversations like that actually happen?
I'll leave you with some wisdom from Moneyball: Billy Beane: This kind of thing, it's fun for the fans. It sells tickets and hot dogs. Doesn't mean anything. Peter Brand: Billy, we just won twenty games in a row. Billy Beane: And what's the point? Peter Brand: We just got the record. Billy Beane: Man, I've been doing this for... listen, man. I've been in this game a long time. I'm not in it for a record, I'll tell you that.
I could see the Heat losing to the 6ers, Bucks, or maybe the Raptors. One of those trap games you know
So what? The streak that only matters is the real one set by the Lakers. Come on guys, seriously 22 was good but it wasn't good enough to set the all time record.
The streak means a little more to me because that's when I really started paying attention to the Rockets. Still, Miami winning more than 22 in a row has absolutely no effect on my view of the Rockets team that year.
Technically it isn't but the record happened all the way back in 1971-72. To have the best winning streak of the last 40 years of the NBA, in the modern era of basketball, is something to be truly proud of.
Oh no the super freinds are threatening our 22 in a row streak. Who cares.. If you compare both teams there's no way we should of won 22 in a row, it just makes our feat that much better. 1 1/2 superstars vs 3.??? Remember when the patriots went undefeated? They won squat.
If it's so easy, why haven't more teams done it? -- Adelman I don't get why people say streaks are meaningless. Championship is won EVERY YEAR. Streaks come by every few DECADES or so.
What's the outcome of our streak...nothing, right. And if having the 2nd highest winning streak in the NBA is improving someone's life or making him feel so proud he has to talk about it years afterwards I think he might need to re-evaluate the meaning of life. And for the 2nd part, what would you rather have: Rockets putting up a new winning streak record every year for the next decade or Rockets winning one championship? Know what I'd rather see...
I thought Wade and LeBron wouldn't be able to co-exisit together? What happened to all the king with no rings jokes? I miss them.
Technically, the Heat only have 2 1/2 superstars. Also, Heat are defending champions, Rockets haven't won in nearly 20 years. In any case, I'm not mad. This Heat team is just superior to that Rockets team.
