    What wouldn't I like McHale?

I wish we had a better coach but I think that is secondary right now to acquiring talent.

If we are overachieving this year, did we underachieve last year?

When has McHale ever said he's perfect or infallible?

He says we need to stop giving up transition baskets and offensive rebounds. Is he pointing out the wrong problems with our play?

This isn't remotely the same team we had last year. I don't understand your question.

I have absolutely no problem with McHale calling out bad play by the players, but flaws in his coaching has cost the Rox games this year too. I've always felt McHale's hiring was a publicity stunt to bring in a famous name as a coach to bring back some publicity to a struggling organization. The team most of the time looks like they are out there free flowing with no real direction. In game adjustments, rotations, Xs and Os, etc are very important and these are areas that McHale are deficient in. I've tried to give McHale the benefit of the doubt but the more I see of the Rox and the way they are falling apart down the stretch for a second year in a row, I just don't feel he's a good coach. I really hope the team can get it together on this home stand, but if the Rox collapse again and end up on the outside of the playoffs, McHale needs to be the first to go.

Do you remember the JVG interviews, especially post game? How about Adelman's interviews? I like McHale's interviews so much better.

You are correct. I was being extreme when I said that "McHale thinks he is perfect". I should say "it appears that McHale has no fault since he doesn't fault himself."

Do you disagree that his tone completely shifted?

I agree. Not clear if it changed because he's pissed at Lin or because he's mad at the rest of the team (sans Asik).

I think that would warrant him finishing his contract out at least. If I'm not mistaken I think he is signed through next year. It would also be interesting to see how he would manage more talent along side Harden if Rox are able to sign or trade for more talent in the off season. The Rox as is are not contenders, but I do feel they are a playoff team so them not making the playoffs would be an inexcusable collapse.

"If I had to bring it up to them they either dont look at the standings or dont care" ....what made him upset is that they didnt know or least thats what it sounds like

I like McHale as a person, but I am undecided about his coaching ability. He deserves credit for the young team's winning record. If he gets credit for the team's success, he should get blames for the team's failure like the recent losses to sub .500 teams. If we fans are to give time for the young players to develop, we should also give time for young coaches (in terms of coaching years) to develop. Next year will be the telltale year for McHale's coaching ability.

You should probably stop following basketball. It's beyond you.
