The Suns are a bad team, but they do have a collection of talented NBA players. A good deal of them former Rockets starters. Duds like this game from the Rockets, and decent games like this from the Suns are going to happen too. However I am concerned about a losing streak similar to last year. The Rockets have a favorable schedule, but play some very disciplined teams... Teams that, like last year, are more than capable of figuring out schemes to stop the Rox high powered offense. So yes I am very concerned. For the Rox to stay in the playoff mix they are going to need someone to step up and really take this team to the next level outside of Harden/Lin/Parsons/Asik. Those 4 are gonna need someone else to help carry them to the finish line.
It's a shame really that we can't win these supposedly easier games, but I really didn't expect that this team would truly have its **** together this season and that these are the kinds of things that happen to a young, inexperienced team. Let this team play together for a season or two more, and we will more likely win these and be at the 5-6 spot instead. It's not bad that we're at the 7th spot and Utah is fading. A lot more than I expected.
With LA surging, it is going to take a serious push by the Rockets to get in. Losing to weak teams is very frustrating and has ruined many a Rocket's season over the years. If they are going to escape eternal mediocrity they must "make hay" in the soft part of the schedule which they are not currently doing.
the only so called easy games left are against this Suns team. we have the warriors, jazz, spurs, pacers, clippers, nuggets, grizzlies, and lakers on our schedule... a 7 game home streak means nothing
Considering we lose to mediocre/bad teams and win against better teams, our remaining schedule is actually very hard for us. smh.
