No way you let big young talent go if you want to compete for a championship. Teams that want to win pay the LT. You'll have to spend. If you want to win, you keep Asik. You got to keep those young, talented players.
Jvg needs to stop talking, asik is good but the bulls aren't going to win a ring because of him. For a team that is still winning without their MVP, they deserve some benefit of the doubt as to how they are handling things.
Bulls miss Taj Gibson. They can win some games without him, but his absence hurts, especially considering their lack of depth.
if they kept Asik, he'd still be a 15 mpg great defensive backup for them. That's fine at 5 mil, but when it gets to 15 mil it'd be ludicrous. And it's not clear that he'd have trade value. Nobody would know if he's a legit double double guy on an nightly basis or not. They had Tasj Gibson, they'll have Mirotic in a few years, it was an ok decision.

Other teams ahead were playing terribly as well. Its not like the rockets were the only ones that propelled them. We'd still be where we're at regardless of that trade.
If you're Indiana, wouldn't it make more sense to guard Bosh with West? Keep Hibbert on Haslem and dare Haslem to shoot the jumper instead of Bosh.
