You're absolutely right. But sometimes, like the Jeremy Lin and Tracy McGrady arguments, it's just downright banal.

That was my first post in this thread in months. Please take your own advice and stick to the subject instead of talking about me.

My post wasn't a complete waste of space as it still had some "content"

Also, before you get offended more, I am talking to people like you because the other guys are hopeless. People like you might change though.

I really hope we miss the playoffs. If we do, Mchale gets fired and we hire another coach. Stan Van Gundy, Jerry Sloan and Mike Budenholzer will be available. Though I doubt Mike Budenholzer would want to come here, but i'll still go after him.

What exactly do you expect JVG going to say? Do you really expect Jeff going to say McHale is a moronic. Stopping shooting the god damn 3 and play Hero Ball?

When the 3s are falling (50%+), it makes McHale a freaking genius. But when the 3s go back to the average, about 30%, this is when this team get into trouble. Yet, when the team is cold at the 3s, McHale is failed to adjust. Let's see, if shooting the 3s didn't work out in the last half or quarter, let's shoot more 3s.

Every time, when the team is down by more than 3 or 4 points, McHale called a timed out and go Hero Ball.

your exactly right. Harden is the reason that we are as good as we are. If we didnt trade for Harden there would be no one to bail the coach out. The dude isnt the worst coach but he is definately below average. I just want to get a chance to see how good we could be with a real coach. Big props to the G.M for our roster.

Yeah, Mike Budenholzer should come here. San Antonio is just closer to Houston than anywhere else.

I'm sorry but McHale gets too much hate! Think about it, this team is probably gonna make the playoffs, 40+ wins, and do it with style. We are underachieving.

We have a promising but still young and inconsistent, very inexperienced point guard. A small forward who is good at everything, but not great , with average defense. We literally have the worst defending starting 4 in the league. A greAt defensive 5 with no offensive game. The best 2 guard behind Kobe, though he is the worst defender. And we have a terrible bench. Delfino, a career streaky shooter is our back up 2,3,4.

We have a pretty bad team, but McHale has created a dangerous team. When we lose, it usually by a couple points. Those types of games become ours with experience. McHale ha done a good job with what he has.

but how did he get the job in the first place? The only link between him and Morey is not statistics but rather the boston celtics.

Mchale does bring some pedigree and legitamacy to the club. Every big man that comes here says "its a big honor to learn under one of the all time greats"

If Lin and Beverly start struggling again there is no excuse to not play AB.

Other teams are making a push for the playoffs: Lakers, Mavericks, and even Blazers think they have a chance to overtake Rockets in the standings. McHale is still playing like this is a Summer Camp tryout.
He doesn't call any plays in timeouts, just tells the boys to wing it. Doesn't call time out when the other team goes on 10-0 runs, just expects the boys to play through it and figure it out.
Greg Popovich always has a plan, always makes adjustments, and will call timeout if the other team goes on any kind of run 5-1, 6-0, 8-2 etc.

The fact that McHale doesn't try to stop the other team's momentum, or show any coaching ability to put the pieces together, and make the team perform better than the sum of it's very talented parts, means he needs to leave.

Aaron Brooks was our playoff hero and an Adelman protege'. Lets hope he gets some burn soon.

The problem is not the personnel but how you play them....and McSuccess just hasn't got a clue. What do you expect no-defense Brooks to do better? Shoot the 3pt at higher clip? Exactly.

You're making too much of this. Look around the sports world and this happens all over. Kubiak hires former Broncos for the Texans, Ed Wade's favorite trade partner during his Astros tenure was his old ball club, the Philles, and on and on among other teams in other sports.

There is a reason for the saying "It's not what you know, but who you know".

If you're this bothered by McHale and his Celtics connection then do a little research and understand this is not unusual.

How is Lin struggled in the game? I missed the 2nd half, but just look at the stats, I can guess Lin was camping at the corner. He is 4 for 9, and out of that 5 miss, 4 of them are from the 3s.

As for Beverley, I thought no one expect him to score, because he put up good "defense"?!?!?

JVG didn't have to say anything, as a matter of fact. But he did, and he said positive things. He is a guy who tells it like it is. He's not a sugarcoater.

I couldn't agree with you more about this team being too reliant on the 3-ball. Our offense has no idea what to do when the threes aren't falling, and I'm tired of Harden doing Steve Francis impressions and Lin not being used aggressively. I'd like to see more Brooks paired with Harden and more Lin slashing, and more Motiejunas in the post. These are all things that the coach can fix.

I have plenty of issues with McHale. I did with Adelman, and JVG as well. Just not a fan of constant negativity.

I'm not offended, just like to defend my intentions when I'm called out is all. I always try to talk about the subject and not get personal. Funny how quickly that happens sometimes. I honestly don't understand how you want me to change. I'm not egging on the negative guys, just responding with my own opinion in general.
