I was hesitant in the wins because they were some of the ugliest I've ever seen, if they can't win these next couple of games...they have no business being in the playoffs?

Maybe...But i think they’re better than this....McHale needs to get more out of these guys and they have to step up as players also.
Every game counts, if they want to be in the playoffs.

Time to bump this thread again. What an ugly game we had tonight!!!

Did you see McFail set any play for D? Lin was smoked by Dragic in last few minutes. And we lost.

Does McFail ever actually run a play in the last 3 minutes of a game? Or is it just give the ball to Harden and let him dribble for 15 seconds?

McGenius is actually a brilliant coach. He's just really good at hiding it.

The defense and offense just wasn't there as a team. Absolutely no flow in that game. JLin played awful, a lot of his bad habits came back like jump and pass and forcing shots but a lot of that can be blame by the team not being in the flow of things....no one was moving....You gotta love Harden he gave us sooo much opportunities to come back....the team just couldn't execute it tonight.

Agree. Why did our tall guy Dmo stand behind 3pointer line and shoot 5 3s? Nobody can grab a rebound besides Asik, WOW! I thought we can take advantage of out of Gortat, guess I am so wrong.

Jeff Van Gundy was very complimentary of McHale on the ESPN Warriors broadcast a few days ago. He reminded everyone of how young the Rockets are, the unprecedented amount of roster turnover, and the level at which they have played over the course of the season.

It's probably difficult for you "McNickname" guys to accept facts that don't support a predetermined opinion, though. So I'll understand if you didn't pay attention.

When it comes to coaching, 'armchair quarterbacking' is probably the easiest thing in the world. Coaches have to make real-time decisions under pressure. Of course whenever they lose, whatever decision they made is suddenly labeled as 'the wrong one', by internet critics who are calmly sitting in their recliner the next morning. Even the best coaches on Earth are not exempt from this phenomenon.

McHale's substitution patterns and in-game decisions have been suspect. He is not above criticism. However, a thread running throughout the season where people just gather to repeat "McFail" doesn't seem very useful, given the challenge that McHale has been saddled with.

To be fair, is there anything that we say on this forum that is actually useful in any sense of that word?

Losses will bring out the negative in everyone - even in the locker room. He's going to get his when he makes suspect substitution patterns and in-game decisions.

    Winning solves everything however.

The problem is that you guys keep replying to the name calling guys. Ignore them and actually contribute to the discussion.

Like why dmo took 3 shots and why there were no plays called for him. We could have won this game if we just went for attrition war inside and tried to foul out their bigs.

Why is mchale so rigid in everything? We rarely have smar plays called during the games and especially during the last stretch (for exmple, lin harden pnrs in the game before was an exception and props to them for that decision).

You guys are so focused on the idiots that you don't notice how you are just adding to the unnecessary noise. In my eyes, you are no different from them.
