[WTF] Random calls at night on home phone

    So it has happened a few times in the last couple of weeks..."Private Caller" on the caller ID. So i logged into the uverse account and blocked anonymous callers which worked for a few nights..but last night I got calls from this number:

    GARCIA,DORA ARA
    281-730-4770

    Has this happened to you all?

    "Random" as in they just picked you or random as in they're just dialing numbers? :confused: I don't think you meant "random."

    I'd like to eradicate the word "random" because some people don't know how to use it. lease stop using the word "random" instead of unusual or peculiar.

    Are they saying anything on the other end or are they just breathing hard like in the Norm MacDonald insurance commercials?

    lol i called back as a private caller. (YEAH THAT WILL TEACH HIM...)

    mexican dude answered and said i got the wrong number when i asked for garcia.

    funny part is a few minutes later, uverse call log showed a call from him but it didnt come through because i have his number blocked now.

    maybe it's some chick that is drunk and wants a booty call with her ex but dials the wrong number. Or she keeps thinking she is dialing the correct number but the ex isn't dodging her so she dials 'private'.

    On my old cell phone, when I used them, I kept getting voice mails from these parents who kept calling for their son. It went on for a month until I finally answered and told them.

    I have two different fake bill collectors who call me for things that never happened. And it's different people on the phone. Where are these fake places set up and why aren't they brought down for fraud?

    No, I am not... random? Of course they are random... I don't post at a particular time all the time... they will be at "random" times of the day. :eek: I think EVERYONE posts 'randomly'.
