    More like a DOF. You won't see him after next Wednesday after Lin crushes his boy Dragic.

    This line would be nice for next game

    Starters

    lin
    harden
    parsons
    dmo
    Asik

    Bench

    beverly/ab 5 min each
    anderson
    delfino
    TJ/trob 5 min each
    Tim O

    Why does Mchale insist on playing garcia over anderson and Trob so much, we've seen what they have and its not much for now. Let some of the other guys get a crack at it....

    What ru talking about? His fanbase is mostly Asian from Taiwan and other parts of Asia. I'm pointing out that he could make good coin playing for Yao's old team and still generate good endorsement money. This way it's a win-win... he helps the rockets by playing in china and helps himself by going to China to play so he can maintain his popularity.

    To the guy who said the Rockets would be the 4 seed in the west if Dragic was still here. Are you kidding me? Hes only averaging like 1-2 points higher and same amount of assists as Lin and hes basically the main guy. And do you really think hes that good that we would have a better record than Memphis or Denver? He was sucking it up for the first three quarters and only had one assist the whole game. He might be a little better than Lin now cause hes more consistent, but at least with Lin you get some upside. And the fact is Lin and the whole team is terrible on back to backs they just seemed tired from that hard fought win last night and then travelling to Phoenix.

    People needa calm down. The rockets will make the playoffs as a 6 seed.

    I didn't edit anything. Go back and read. I'm married to an Asian woman so I don't know what is racist about it. She even thinks Lin sucks.

    seriously though don't you all think better coaching could have got us this win? I mean if a good coach vs a bad or average coach is not worth +2 points a game then what are coaches paid to do? with optimal or even good coaching we get this win today. that means playing ab at some point, using dmo correctly, and properly building in rest for harden and others so they have some effort on d. easily there are 2 points there.

    Our defense was fine tonight, guys. Overall a good defensive effort.

    T-M-T

    Too many turnovers.

    Here's what's happening. Teams are starting to match up small with us. When Delfino comes in, they go small with a more athletic defender on him and they crowd us off the 3-point line, especially Delfino. Delfino is too slow for dribble-drive penetration when other teams match up with us. This forces Lin and Harden to have to overhandle and make something out of nothing. Teams are overplaying us on the perimeter, overplaying the Lin/Harden screen and getting the ball to Delfino who has a younger, more athletic defender on him. He can't make a play, shot clock winds down and Harden/Lin wind up trying to make something out of nothing that is left. Then on the other end, they put Delfino in the popcorn machine and work him over. Delfino is probably the worst defender on this team (Brooks may run him a close second), so if he isn't getting wide open 3-balls to knock down (which he isn't), and he's not being defended by some big slow 4 that he can actually dribble-drive around (which he isn't) then he is not really of use to us out there. McHale has to recognize it and switch it up.

    McHale is caught at the controls, trying to figure out which levers and buttons to push. He either needs to go super small or he's got to go bigger. I think he'd be better off with this bunch to go smaller. Bring in Brooks, run Brooks and Lin or Beverley on the wings with Harden at the top with Chandler and Asik. At the very least, if teams are matching up with Delfino and iso'ing him on defense, then McHale has to go with Anderson or Garcia and park Delfino. Delfino has been great for us this year. This is not about not liking him. I like him a lot. But you've got to adjust.

    And it's up to McHale to pull the controls and make the opponent have to adjust themselves. Our opponents are making one adjustment and McHale is not adjusting back. He's just going back to the same vacuum rotation. He's got to go bigger or smaller and make the opponent have to fumble around themselves instead of just toying with us out there.

    Phoenix is a lotto team. They have absolutely nothing to play for. But they brought it to us, they shut down our perimeter game, they forced us into 19 turnovers, they had the matchups they wanted. We didn't adjust.

    This one is on the Coach.

    If you had told me Harden would go for 38 on efficient shooting and the Rockets would hit 19 threes as a team in Phoenix, my only question would be: "Did they win by 30 or 40?"

    What you're missing out is BB is not all about stats. You have to look at how the guy plays on the other side of the ball, how he contributes to overall team success in other ways. Why do you think the coach puts in Bev to finish games even though he doesn't score as much as Lin. Coaches are not stupid, they know that Lin's assets don't even cover his liabilities.

    #1 Harden had 38 points, 8 assists, 5 rebounds and got the Suns in foul trouble. 8 turnovers is not good, but when you shoot 67% from the field and score 30 points in the last 30 minutes of the game, it is okay. His defense was fine as well, as he did not exclusively guard Dudley;

    #2 Lin didn't play good defense anymore than Dragic played good defense on Lin. Dragic was the better play down the stretch tonight. No arguing it, just accept it and move on;

    #3 Beverley is a backup point guard, so I don't expect as much from him;

    #4 No criticism of McHale, just a situation where only Harden and Delfino showed up and that isn't enough.

    Imagine that Adelman is our our head coach, beautiful offense and minimizing turnovers and organized offense.

    Oh, and where was the Lin-Harden PnR tonight? That's gotta be our most effective play down the stretch, why is it not being implemented in crunch time?

    This is totally inaccurate. Dennis Scott and Rick Fox compared him in his first 82 games verses top NBA guards' first 82 games. And I am not saying he's a top NBA guard, because he is not. The guards he was compared to were CP3, Parker, Rondo, and I don't remember the other two. Lin ranks right up there with 3 of them, and actually is doing better than Parker and the last guard on their list (I don't remember which one). Lin has potential, especially for a player who's had to dramatically change his playing style and the role he's playing in. This doesn't mean he'll become one of those elite guards, but it's way too early to judge him like he's failing the team.
