Ive watched them both play, Im the most unbiased towards Kobe and Jordan. I never bought a Jordan Jersey ever, never will. Never will I sport Kobe gear. But one thing Kobe has proven to me, is that he is better then Jordan. Jordan just gets the credit because he was before Kobe, im telling you right now if there era's were reversed, everyone would be calling foul if someone said Jordan was better then Kobe

A kobetard? First your bias, now you two are showing your age. Grow up.

A lot of Kobe's prime years were basically wasted, since the team had to re-tool quickly. MJ never faced that. You can't compare their careers side by side because their situations were different. Kobe came in as a teen, without the advantage of a college career and great coaching, and on to a team who was expected to win. He was in the finals at an earlier age and exposed at time because of it. As he's ready to step into the primary role, the other guy splits. Need to re-tool. Wins some more, as the main man. Super teams start to form, time to re-tool again.

On the other hand, MJ had a much more traditional career, except for his 2 years away. Went to college, played for a powerhouse, a legendary coach, and faced pressure situations. Came into a situation where he didn't answer to anyone, really, and could just go out and play. His team gradually was built around him over years.

When you look at Kobe's individual talent, drive, and skills, they are very comparable to MJ's. They should be, since he modeled it all after Jordan. So, if that's similar, why were their careers so different? Their environment was different. That's the significant difference in their careers. Put Kobe in college, at Duke, UNC, and he's a top 3-4 pick. Probably a #1 or #2 in 2000. Let him play on a bad team, where he's the main guy. Build around him. Get him some help, get him who he wants.

You think he'd still only win one MVP? No way. And he'd get his rings too.

The reason MJ still is ahead of him is because of defense.

How many perimeter players during the Bulls 6rings were actually better than Jordan and Pippen? Just because he didn't have a dominant big man doesn't mean he didnt have another dominant player on the team. SMDH

LMAO...someone is showing his age and it's definitely not me! MJ was drafted by a **** Chicago team ...The Bulls sucked ass for nearly four years. Four years playing with scrubs that will make Smush Parker throw up in disgust. MJ sucked it up while his front office was trying to build a team around him by drafting Pippen and Grant. During those terrible years of getting manhandled by the stacked eastern conference, Jordan was putting up huge numbers that not once Kobe has threatened to equal let alone surpass on both ends. At least 3 years of MJ's prime was wasted away. After the first three peat, MJ went AWOL and another 2 years of his prime was wasted. He came back well into his thirties, still dominated the league at 34.
Let us now consider bad man Kobe. First of all, let's stop with that "Let him play on a bad team, where he's the main guy. Build around him." LMAO. Kobe was drafted onto a bad team but they never got the chance to build around him because the black mamba cried his way into Shaq's lap, just as the big man was entering his prime. He absolutely rode Shaq to three rings as a glorified role player, developing his skills with minimal pressure (not being a franchise player) under the coaching of PJax. If Kobetards had their way, prime Shaq will be the Queen Hatshepsut of the NBA, all forgotten. Then there was the 2004 debacle where Rapebe tried to take over and failed with a roster full of HOFs. The Lakers sucked for three years and Kobe threatened his FO: Mamba is bolting out of town if he is not somehow gifted another big man to ride to more rings; Stern duly obliged (for basketball reasons) by Okaying yet another Lakers-type trade and landing the black mamba Pau Gasol for Kwame Brown and the wrong Gasol. Eventually Kobe won two more rings (with Gasol being widely viewed as Finals MVP) and just like that Kobe has earned comparison with MJ. And now, aged 34, the same age at which MJ won his last MVP title, GOAT Kobe is leading yet another team of HOF and all-stars to either the lottery or a 1st round exit after throwing just about everyone under the bus, at one time shooting lights out like Larry Bird by putting 30pts on 30 shots and at others racking up 11 assists for 10 turnovers just like Magic would do. And after all this, old man Kobe only has to beast a troll trifecta of Raptors, Lolcats and Pelicans to suddenly be knocking on MJ's door and threatening his GOAT status.

LMAO, those kobe stans are some of the most obnoxious fans I have ever seen and to think that vets on this site have the nerve to call out LOFs who by comparison are saints.

    Han Solo and Andersongo...

Do you want props for basically repeating what I wrote, but with different words?

    The Pelicans? Bird? Stern?

All you're doing is showing your hatred for Kobe and the Lakers. You're not even addressing what i wrote. You start off like you are and then trail off in another direction.

Also, I don't hate the Lakers, I have the utmost respect for what the organisation has achieved, for great players like Magic, Shaq, Wilt, Baylor and West. I still deplore the fact that no other player with Kareem's finesse will likely enter the NBA again.

But I've got no respect for Kobe and his stans who always feel entitled to win.

im not coming to defense of anyone but how is it considered "rediculous" to think the Kobe>MJ. I find it completly disrespectful to undermine all of what Kobe has done. Ive watched Jordan Ive watch kobe, more times have I been impressed with Kobe then I have been with Jordan. Im a Kobe hater / appreciator

Thanks for actually stating some facts that make sense.
    Not....

Jordan was a far more dominant player than Kobe in regular and postseason. Its not even close.

Far more efficient scorer. Far more accolades. Far better defender. There is nothing Kobe beats MJ in. Nothing.

kobe's dick is way bigger and harder than MJ's

kobe's wife is far more beautiful than MJ's

kobe's way way way more handsome than MJ

81 pts beats anyone except WC's 100 pts.

talking about the degree of difficulty of those shots that kobe made, and talking about the entertainment of those shots that kobe brings fans? kobe beats anyone.

how many times MJ made shots when there are one or more defenders touch his body?

for kobe, when he needs to score, he would say,**** it, i don't care if there is defender or not, i am gonna take it over you!

and when kobe made it, you don't realize how entertaining that was, you might call it a bad shot, LOL, who cares, kobe made it!

fans are not spending time and money to the game watching kobe taking bank shots like Tim Duncan.

kobe entertains fans a lot, that's it!

    want more?

come on, you really meant kobe beats MJ in nothing????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

you are just MJ fan or kobe hater, so what you said means nothing!
