DMo also gives up a lot of points real fast. Good offense starts with good defense, if DMo can't D up properly at a critical defensive position (PF and C are tasked with protecting the paint and preventing second chances) then he should sit.

our defense is really ****ed up right now, we have 1 elite defender in Asik, and an ok defender in Parsons, then we have DMo, Lin, and Harden all 3 of them capable of **** up some really simple defense.

At one hand I really like this lineup because it provides us multiple source of offense, but at the other hand, we are going no where unless those 3 can really up their defensive game.

TRob can defend and rebound but do not count on him to provide much offense. He is too eager to perform to the extent that he gets over-anxious. TRob has to learn how to slow down his movements and use his body better. He will be ok if he does.

You've got to be kidding!? Parsons is not a good defender at all, maybe last season he was but not this term. There are only two real solid defenders over heavy minutes on this team: Asik and Lin. Parsons should find his defensive mojo back and DMo and Harden should...well...start to play defense in the first place.

Do not see a lot of problem with Lin's defense, he is more than adequate playing his position defending, and probably the most active, if not the only, weak side helper in the starting lineup.

Is Jones ever going to heal? He is the answer - most rounded skillset but looks lost. Spit the time up between the three of them. Need O - D-Mo, Need D - T-Rob. ALL are useful and need time to get better.

I have seen improvement already in Dmo's D, it's not great but still not as bad as many make out to be. But if your calling it that way I think he should be able to score more than he gives up on most nights.

The only guy on which I will bet to do just that is Harden and even then it's not a sustainable strategy.. The rest of the players should just D it up already.

The Rockets are a different team when they don't have a stretch 4 on the floor. And in this case different is not good.

He brings energy which probably looks good in practice when most players sandbag to some degree. He's trying to show his worth while others know their worth and are just in practice mode. That energy looks good in practice. And I do think McHale and TRob have a bond so I can see him taking him under his wing. But when a nonstretch hits the floor, the Rockets become a different team. The same was true when they'd throw Greg out there with Asik. It messes up the spacing, flow of the O and the different options

It's going to take some time to get that chemistry back and I hope we can recover from trading 1/3 of the active roster for a Greg Smith upgrade. In the mean time, they have to do the best they can with what they have.

for real, after 1 freakin bad game from trob... you started this lame thread? So are you gonna start a thread if he's got a good game? This is a classic example of ignorant fans overreacting to a player's having a bad game.

it's quite premature and inaccurate to say how many "good" and "bad" games he's got so far.... consider he just joined the team and only seen limited minutes, and a freaking rookie.

man some people sure give a tight leash around here.

Yes, as long as he's with either Harden or Lin on the floor.

I would take Robinson over Greg Smith at this point, he is just as bad on defense and seems less likely to get rebounds.

it was better if we had D-Mo/PP played for PF spot.that being taken we could use GreigSmith as a PF, he got the size and can score on 2nd chance Opportunites .

This is so true. McHale is going to get slammed no matter what he does. Play TRob and people wonder why. Don't play TRob and people wonder why. Morey traded away our two power forwards that fit our offense and left us with D-Mo and TRob. TJones might be a good choice, but he's been hurt(I wish I knew the extent of his injury).

McHale is trying to find a solution to the power forward problem, but it's not going to be easy when both D-Mo and TRob are still in the learning stage.

I for one will not slam McSuccess if he maintains T-Rob in the rotation and you know how highly I actually think of our coach....T-Rob can defend well, playing him is a no-brainer.

DMo hasn't been great either, and we haven't really seen Jones play. I still think TRob will be a good rotation player and barring a trade, will probably become a starter by next season.
