Marc Gasol has gotta be in there as well, as well as Larry Sanders.

The defensive player of the year award loves shot block leaders, so probably Sanders. Although he is clearly a good defensive player and not just a show offy shot blocker.

Noah, George, Duncan, LeBron, could all win it as well.

its probably gonna be a big man and not a perimeter defender IMO. since their impact defensively is sooo much greater

Do we? Lebron has been thought to be a favorite for the award for 3 straight years now and he has yet to win it.

Paul George, Hibbert, Noah, Duncan, Marc Gasol. One of them.

I suspect a Pacer won't get it simply because two of them deserve it. On the other hand, Noah has Deng and Gibson, Gasol has Tony Allen and now Prince, and Duncan has Danny Green and several other good defenders.

I'd vote for Marc Gasol tbh. Then Hibbert.

Larry Sanders gets pushed around and owned by true bigs too much for my taste. Also, the Bucks aren't a great defensive team despite having Sanders, Mbah a Moute and good defensive coaching. I guess Sanders has the stats though so he might get it... but i'd hate that selection almost as much as Ibaka making 1st defensive team last year.

he's probably the best wing defender when he's focused. his defense on Rose was epic. but he's not consistently at that level during the regular season. great but not favorite imo.

It's between Garnett and Duncan. I'd go with KG right now. Other candidates are Marc Gasol, Joakim Noah and Roy Hibbert. Lebron isn't even in conversation.

In fact, change it to Gasol, Noah and George. I wasn't thinking about minutes. Hard to put Hibbert's 28 minutes on par with Noah's or George's 38 minutes. Hibbert is great but not that great.

    Noah in my opinion.

The guy is the key to Thib's defense.

It should be Noah. But it will likely be Lebron.

it shoudl be Duncan. I still cant believe he dosent have a dpoy yet. The guy contest more shots than any other player in the league... by far. San antonio is top 5 defensive team and he is the anchor.
