[NBA Hangtime]Kobe putting up Improbable numbers while fighting off father time Long read, if anyone interested. Not sure if related but just putted here for interest. --- Spoiler --- Link: Click here
hahahah:grin::grin::grin: seriously this might be a season saver for lakers... however i am changing my mind with regards of Kobe's efficiancy...were basktball pure eficiency game on the floor he would be inneficient player but....his game is like cheap filmografy it doesnt have artistic quality but masses are seduced by it -a kind of placebo effect -bringing up a popularity and media market that on the other side translates to power and titles to the club he is belonging to...
If Lin were allowed all the freedom that Kobe enjoys on lakers he would have far better numbers and his team would be far better than lakers
isnt Kobe 34? people are acting like he is 43. I don't care if he has been in the league 17 years he is still only 34 dude's got plenty of game left.
The ironic thing is that if Kobe does sit out, the Lakers will be a lot more competitive. Casual fans just look at the numbers and assume that you take away Kobe's 30 points and they suck. But instead you should look at it like this: Nash & Howard have done far better with far less capable teammates. Just pairing them up with three scrubs gives you the foundation for a team that's well over 0.500. The only thing that can sabotage that is if they don't get touches.. which is exactly what Kobe Bean Bryant does to a team.
The curious case of Kobe Bryant really boils down to a battle between ego and success. The longer he sits out, the more clear it will become that the Lakers can thrive without him; nay, that they actually play better without him monopolizing the ball. Is Kobe-- a man who has spent the better part of his basketball career fighting to not be labeled as a "sidekick"-- capable of handling this, of sitting out or taking on a reduced role for the sake of the team's success? History says no, because winning just isn't the same if he doesn't get all the glory too. This, my friends, is what a narcissist is all about.
The curious case of clippy: Your first post was unsuccessful so your ego made you quote yourself to gain attention.
My first post was spot on accurate. I made it before the Pacer game and, lo and behold, the Lakers finally had a road win against a good team without chuckbe in the lineup. Just like the last two years. It ain't rocket science but some people just can't get over the BUT HE SCORES 30 POINTS! media hype.
