Beverly gets too chippy sometimes, AB needs to step in, the guy can create INSANT offense!

with the ugly shooting from our guards tonight, we can definitely use AB soon.

he might need more practice with the team. theres a 3 day gap between both PHX games so more practice time there

You know, I'm starting to think that we'll finally see AB in his Rockets' re-debut at our next home game, the 13th vs. Phoenix.

ESPN reported that Brooks gave up some serious cash to get out of Sac, which makes his decision to join the Rockets even more interesting.

    1. Nobody picked up his contract off waivers.

    2. Nobody offered him a better contract.

    3. He gave up that cash without knowing for sure if he would be able to make the money back.

    4. We signed him for a contract that replaces what he lost in Sacramento and allows him to make more money by agreeing to that buyout. If he gets a minimum salary deal for next season anywhere then he's on the plus side.

    5. We had our Room MLE to use so we could prorate the amount of money we gave him but we didn't use it, instead opting to use cap space and hand him $2.4 million on a silver platter. Why didn't we offer him the minimum? Why did we give him $2.4 million?

    6. No other teams came close to offering him that kind of money or he would have taken it. No other teams even negotiated with him after he cleared waivers. And the media was all over it early that he was signing with Houston, even before he cleared waivers.

Hmmmmmmmmmm. Yeah, real interesting....if you can't read between the lines.

Yeah, we get it. There was probably some sort of tentative arrangement made in advance with Houston. You're very smart.

Where you started getting into arguments with people here was when you declared that the Brooks deal was a CONDITION to the TRob-PPatt trade.

While I'd imagine it was discussed at the time that the trade was coming together, there is no way that the Rockets gave anything more than an oral assurance that they'd try to make things work out. It's not like if the Rockets had declined to sign Brooks, the Kings could have rescinded the trade.

Perhaps it was a coincidence. But I would side with you that the two moves were connected somehow. I just stop short of making proclamations that the Brooks signing was any sort of precondition to acquiring TRob.

He probably gave up the player option he had or at least an amount close to it. The guaranteed amount the Rockets gave him basically covers that.

If the Rockets were able to sign that international player he's probably still in Sacramento.

this is just ****ing ridiculous now. If Mchale has got to ****ing play him. I have sided with him on decisions about winning the game vs long term but if he really wants to win games he has got to make an effort to get him into the rotation. AB would have saved our ass tonight, while I was watching the phoenix defense there were holes all over a guard with good speed could have easily penetrated.
