missing alot of offense since the trade and interior defense is getting bad as well. Dmo cant spread the floor like morris or patterson so defenders will need to respect his shot. Hope he improves

No because TRob is a huge upgrade at the 4.

    TRob? Not DMo?
At this point I'm not sure who I like better. DMo is a pretty nice offensive presence down low and has a good shooting touch too.
I wasn't impressed with TRob, initially. He looked lazy. I expected he would look lost but it didn't look like he gave much effort. The last couple of games have been pretty nice. Limited offensive skills and undersized (maybe) but got some nice blocks and is rebounding much better than I thought he would.

In either case, it was a nice trade. TRob definitely worth the price we paid. Marcus for a 2nd rounder is a question mark but opened us up for a big free agent signing.

They might miss the playoffs, although I think they will make it. However, it's not really that important. Morey is more focused on the future, and that's what I'm focused on. For the rest of this season I just want to see players like D-Mo and TRob make some progress so they will be better next year or their trade value increases.

Bad coaching will keep us out of the playoffs. Even with the trades slowing down our team a bit, we were in position to win those WAS, PHI, DAL games.

McHale ain't a playoff caliber coach. He couldn't and can't get us over the hump.

They will make it only with Utah's help.

My biggest concern with the new guys come on the defensive end. If the new guys have issues on that end, the NBA's scouts, coaches and players will find a way to exploit them and it will be up to them to adjust. The adjustment period may well cost the team the playoffs. But it does look like that Utah has a tougher schedule so hopefully the team survives.

making the playoffs is wildly important....

the playoffs is an unknown that can alter the course of our future

the playoffs are where stars are born....where every single game is nationally broadcasted....anything goes in the playoffs....DMO can become a star in the playoffs...TROB can prove himself untouchable and our cornerstone 4 of the future in the playoffs....making the playoffs are hugely important....

Harden can cement himself among the elites during the playoffs....

anything can happen man...never underestimate the value of the playoffs....this team deserves it...they've played their asses off in nearly every game...damn near run their opponent into the ground and exhibited world class stamina to the tone of one of the top offenses in the league....

i hope we make the playoffs....

It's the players Morey has assembled. It's Harden, Asik, Parsons, and sometimes Lin.

Be fair then. Coaches designed our high octane offense, but haven't figured out yet how to help a hobbling Harden to be more effective in the halfcourt.
Coaches also haven't figured out how to teach our team to defend.

I don't think they are using all our weapons correctly.

Are you a McHale apologist? He won't last through next season. We're just waiting if we can get DHoward.

Even IF we are worse for now, we are better built for winning a title.

We weren't winning a title this year before and that hasn't changed. BUT we now have better assets to flip for a Dwight Howard type player.

You build to win a championship, not get into the playoffs.

I think it's pretty important we get a taste of the playoffs. The intensity ratchets WAY UP. And players who've done well in the regular season discover that any weakness they have will be exploited again and again. The ones who want to be great players figure out what to work on.
It's why guys like Lebron, Jordan, Shaq, Kobe, basically everyone except Tim Duncan had to take his licks in the playoffs before becoming the players they were and winning titles. Nobody knows how bad they are until the playoffs come.
I actually think a guy like Lin will do well in the playoffs. I think he gets a taste of that treatment most games due to his fame. He won't have nearly the adjustment everyone else (except Harden) will need to deal with.
