If Lin says "Enough is enough, trade me or fire the coach", and the FO has to choose one, the overwhelming chance is that McHail will leave. Lin has the power and he knows that. It's just not a smart thing to do for the long run however. Lin is still getting 25-30 minutes a game, still has two more years on his big-dollar contract, and the Rockets still have a long way to go to reach roster stability and contend for a championship. It's not really a disaster for him to play these reduced minutes for now, which actually reduces chance of injuries greatly and spare him some energy to focus on developing his skills. Lin has performed admirably so far this season for the chance he's given, certainly did not hurt his case as a legitimate NBA starter and promising young player. The voices of the fans will be heard, and the management team knows the problem. There is plenty of time for them to figure it out. There is just no urgency for himself to speak up in a strong tone, which will hurt the locker room relations. I'm sure he will if his minutes are so squeezed that it hampers his development as a player.
Because he doesnt whine, he doesnt get as much playing time, which is why people like you still can't see how good he really is. He's way better than previous guards. He's averaging almost the same stats as Dragic who is getting to be the primary playmaker / scorer in Houston where he has to share the ball and PG duties with every other member on the team and their moms. Thats pretty damn good.
Yeah I agree. Not only did this moronic coach call out his player in front of the media, but pulled out some exaggerated turnover number that Lin never had. To make matters worse, he couldn't even see that Lin's shooting and aggressiveness is what led to the win vs. OKC, and if Lin did choose to play exactly like Mchale wished him to, we woulda probably lost vs OKC.
You're a LOF. You are happy with that? I'm sure you are. Nice pic of you and your buddies crying. Poor Lin, life just isn't fair!! McFail, that racist coach!
Great post. Repped. But it's still maddening as hell watching McHale fumbling it away and have so many posters say that he's doing great.
Can someone put up the ysr 1560 interview with Clutch today where he says that Beverley is outplaying Lin right now and that there is no dropoff from Lin to Beverley at all. Thanks.
Lin has done a good job AT TIMES, but there are several times when he's on the court he would make bad decisions. The coaches yanks him for his play, not because he hates Lin, be real guys... Lin is relatively young and still growing as a player, so jury is still out on him... however to say things like "oh lin didn't play so its ok for rockets to lose" doesn't belong here. This is a rockets fan site first and foremost, and if you only care about Lin, then please precede to stalk him on Facebook/Twitter and move on from this site.
how am i a troll??? because i am attacking the beloved Jeremy Lin....he is not immune to criticism.... LOF's are ruining this forum...and the cohesiveness that the teams fans should have...
