I found it funny. I am very much looking forward to no. 3. I am one of those who loved the original one and also loved no. 2. Who cares about the plot. I had fun watching it.
< csb > My stepson stands in on tv shows and movies as an extra. Says it is cool to hang out and the catered food is really good and the pay is decent for the short time they spend on set. Was called for something titled "H3"...didn't know what it was but said he played an inmate in prison. He later found out that H3 was this movie. His mom and I thought it was pretty cool that we might be able to see him in this movie. < / csb >
While we are at cool stories: I was at the Hangover 2 European premiere - at the aftershow party, we ran into these three incredibly drunk Irish guys. Nice guys - they told us that their uncle (Liam Neeson) was in the movie and got them the tickets and access to the party. I said ummm....didn't see him in the movie - must have gotten edited out. They didn't really care...they only cared about the booze and the chicks at the aftershow party.
Liam Neeson was casted as the tattoo artist (Mel Gibson was originally suppose to the tattoo artist but Zach G. had a problem with that), but the scene was reshot and Liam was already busy with Wrath of the Titans so Todd Phillips had Nick Cassavetes play the tattoo artist on short notice.
Yeah I know...didn't know that at the time. I was wondering why he was swapped out, at the time I only knew about the Mel Gibson issue.
In some ways, I found 2 to be better than 1. It's easy to dismiss it just because it repeats the drugging, lost friend, camera pics story line in a different setting. But, to say it didn't have any original moments in it is just pure BS imo once you get past the obvious. And, I feel it had some truly funny moments in it that were as good if not better than the funniest moments in 1. In a lot of ways, I find 2 more watchable on repeat viewings than 1. While 1 set the tone for the trilogy, I may have enjoyed 2 more. I look forward to seeing what 3 brings to the table. Makes me wonder how many would have liked 2 if there was no 1?
The second fast and furious sucked and it only took them til the 5th movie to make something good... hopefully this doesnt suck
Why? It's like deciding to put a pinball machine in a strip club. Sure, a pinball machine might make a strip club more interesting, but if I'm at a strip club for degenerate behavior I don't necessarily need a pinball machine...
maybe if you are white you would find Hangover funnier, but any minority out there would say that Kumar was funnier. HK had tangible plots. 1st one they were going to white castle, second one they were trying to get exonerated, third one they wanted to find a christmas tree. The Hangover 1 and 2 had the same exact plot just in a different city. No imagination whatsoever. Token guest character (Ken Jeong) is nowhere near as epic as Neil Patrick Harris. In fact, the only funny guy is the bearded dude, the rest are just filler.
I like Galflanniekisste. I wish he did more of these.. <iframe width="560" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/83I_rQUbw8c" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> <iframe width="560" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/jOVq_UL48o0" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
