He just knows what to say to the media. of course he's not OK lol. I'd be disappointed if he was. Your coach's basically saying your back up is better than you and you're okay with that? what a lamb. How about try to impact the game while you're on the floor? Be aggressive without being out of control. Show some damn competitiveness and fire on the floor. Obviously the game is not about one individual player, but this team looks much better when lin plays well (duh). Mchale and Lin, they're gonna be okay. all lin needs to do is focus on being better and more consistent on the court.
Don't be silly. Lin was way undervalued, and at that time, it was a calculated risk on Morey's part to offer him the poison pill contract. Morey even said it himself recently, that he will be building the team around the core of Harden and Lin; and that outside of his inconsistent jumper, Lin is more than competent with his court vision, passing and speed. Of course, an added gain would be his marketing value. Now, why is what he said racist? It is because it’s one thing to be bashing LOFs and demean them for their shallowness, and another to be bashing LOFs, declare most of them to be Asians, and proceed to bash them for their shallowness. Why is there a need to delineate the Asian ethnicity? In any case, I did not compare Lin to the president; I compared Lin to the fallacy of the idea where a popular cultural icon can only have supporters from the similar ethnicity as the icon. But I’m sure you probably missed that in your rashness to put someone down. Enjoy your good smack of reality.
Well, I used to play. I found out I pretty much sucked at it so I quit. HOTS looks fun though, I'm gonna give it a shot and we'll see from there. Back to the topic though, I think if Lin will keep proving to McHale that he can be consistent in his performance night in, night out, he'll get his 4th quarter back. I'm sure even LOHs will have nothing to say 'bout that. I'm sure Lin will be able to reach that level -- being a hardworker and all.
Not just Lin, I noticed a lot of Lin fans are pretty smart and well educated. I enjoy reading a lot of their comments and analysis. Very educational and entertaining!!!
Wow how did this thread turn into a disaster? It's time to hide your kids, hide your wife and hide your husband. LOF LOH and TROLLS are out in full force.
Lol! Wow did he hit a sore spot or what?? Sounds quite personal! This has got to be the most impassionate defense of stupid people that I've ever seen. Basketball is a game of math?? Lol. You're right. I'm sure javelle McGee needs to count 1-2-1-2 when he runs down the court in order not to trip over himself.
Am I reading too much into this or is he basically giving Mchale a subtle middle finger regarding his "29 and 9" quote?
Personally I've noticed Lin is playing more how he wants to play on the floor when he gets on. I think he knows he has limited minutes now with Patrick and AB, so he's going to play how he wants to play. Mchale hates the QB passes that Lin throws, sometimes they come off, sometimes they don't..... It's better for his development, he's emotionally engaged when he gets on the court and playing with a chip now (how ironic, it's against his own coach!) as oppose to being a bit of a sheep at the beginning of the season, really noticed it the last three games. On D he's picked it up even more, really fighting through the picks. On O, he's taking more mid range Js, taking the three's with confidence, and barking at whoever that misses his passes. Also, he's not always passing to Harden now and he looks for the team offence first. Go Jeremy.... It's a shame that Mchale doesn't give him the same trust and backing that Pringles did. I like Pat Beverley, but he ain't scoring 38 against the spurs.....even if it was a losing effort.
I'm not worried about Jeremy's psyche over this thing, he's got his head screwed on straight and he can f***ing handle it. If it was actually best for the team, I wouldn't have a problem with him sitting the 4th quarter out. I AM worried about our win/loss record record in close games and the fact that McHale doesn't seem to have one damn clue what he's doing with rotations.
"More PC stuff from Lin...Guy is trying not to burn bridges....Kyle-Lowry style!" GIFSoup[/IMG] YEEAAHHH!!!
The backbone of basketball is Physics, sure. I mean, if you want players busting out a pad and paper when they run down the court, estimating trajectories and everything... But, basketball's actually a game of muscle memory and repetition.
You know, I think Lin doubled down after the SA spurs game and started to play basketball the way he knows how to play, against McHales wishes. That's why we've seen a more aggressive Lin and the subsequent "home run hitter" comments and the benching of Lin. His recent comments suggest the same. I like aggressive Lin so I hope Mac and Lin learn to get along better without neutering Lin. Mac might be satisfied with Chalmers mode Lin but he's not. Let's go Rockets!
I feel Lin is finally fed up with the coach, and will be Lowry the next soon. What he said 'his brand of basketball' won't do good to coach and in the locker room.
Every time Lin plays well he's basically violating McFail's system McFail wants Lin to dribble up, pass to Harden or Parsons, and be Derek Fischer in the corner The funniest thing about this hack coach was he said it after they just beat OKC, a great win, where Lin shot over 50% and had 2 total turnovers Makes sense why after hearing his coach Lin probably thought F it, my coach is a complete moron with double standards against me, I'm just going to play my game which is also a winning style of basketball .
with the way lex industries harassed daryl about lin getting away from them, lin is not going to go anywhere soon. What lex wants, lex gets. he likes homeruns. lin is safe.
Couldn't agree with you more I have also noticed the same thing. He realizes he has about 25 mins over the first 3 quarters to help blow out the opponent and that will be it for him for the game.
