Is a back to back only worth 1 pt? Especially with the oldest team in the league, plus it was a road game and they had to fly afterwards? If so, maybe I was wrong to think they assume Carmelo will play, and it's actually the opposite... if they had inside info that he's out, that could be the reason for the line.

Pretty much... there was a brief fluctuation to 7.5, but it stayed at 8 even after it was announced that Carmelo was out.
Adding OKC -4.5 2nd half... I think the Knicks run out of gas in the 2nd half and JR Smith will cool off and chuck them out of the game.
Only reason I played the Knicks second half is because I saw a book out there that was offering OK City -6.5 before tip off. I like when books gives out leans like that. Wanted to watch the first half to see how close the Knicks would keep it before playing them at all.

Unfreaking real... scrub ass Reggie Williams (who?) drove for no reason and got fouled with 11 sec left at the end of a blowout loss, then made both free throws to push the total over to 191. Another 1 pt loss. FML.
