HAHAHAHA... It's pretty disturbing to have HOU's crappy defense broken down like that...

I mean, I know it cause I see it every game, but it definitely sinks in a bit more. Sigh...

    Bring DMo off the bench.

i think that would honestly be a smart thing to do at this point. TRob can finish around the basket, and play much better D than Donatas

Harden really needs to work on his D.

I noticed this before - a lot of our guys lose their man which is inexcusable. Signs of youth but you think McHale would be grilling them on this.

Harden knows better, he just saves a lot of energy for offense.

I am actually starting to question if he knows better. He scores a lot of points but his bad defense gives most of them back to the opposing team. There is a reason why we are forced to hide him on defense.

Who's supposed to be responsible for the defense again?

If our defense doesn't improve, we will miss the playoffs.

Interesting. I thought Morey said that Rockets had one of the better half court defenses when Asik was on the court. He must not have been on the court during these 3 plays.

Doubt it. The Jazz are going to pretty much hand it to us. Unfortunately we will get swept in the playoffs because they will just expose our defensive vulnerabilities.

I have more respect for Beverly now. He had to cover for the rest of the team defensively. Lin is no slacker but there is no way he could do that. Parsons, Harden, Lin sometimes, Delfino, both our PFs are all prone to defensive lapses. :(

    Harden lacking effort.

Asik single handedly carries the Rockets defense.

This was a terrific breakdown of some of our terrible defensive woes.

I think some blame can definitely go to the players who did these things, but overall, this is on the COACHing staff for NOT having this drilled into their heads this late into the season.

Maybe just like McFail doesn't have any offensive plays, he doesn't have any defensive strategies as well. Maybe he just tells them to hustle and play defense. It would all make sense actually if that's all he does.

Okay, now the McOF can jump all down my throat with insults.

    Good read/breakdown.

That last sequence, all I can do is shake my head and laugh.

McHale, do you and your guys practice defense?

"Hell, yeah, we worked for a half-hour on it."
