You obviously have never seen Hakeem play... He would destroy anyone playing today. He is the prototype of what "bigs" are trying to do today. Quick, fast, strong, tremendous basketball IQ and could break anyone down... There is not one person playing today that would be able to stop Hakeem in his prime. Name one....
the spacing, the precision, such a disciplined, well-coached basketball team. so much of the hype of this series is focused on game 1, when Hakeen destroyed Robinson after the latter received the MVP award, but this game is equally impressive. thanks for posting.
^Thanks basso, and thanks to the Rocket fan that originally posted the game 5 clips. It's fun to watch a highlight vid that is nicely edited -- especially when they get the excitement of the commentators into the mix. The old crew calling this game knew they were seeing something special.
what I also liked was that you could see Rocket fans, lots of them in the Alamodome. Oh back when we ruled this state. those were the days.
Yeah, there are definitely a few roars after the Rockets score -- we had a good crowd that made the drive.
I feel like singing "memories," and I rarely do. Wow, those were special moments. It has been a long time, too long. Can they come again?
I know Game 3 was a loss that no one ever remembers but Hakeem had 43 points in this game, with just some crazy shots, including a 3 pointer. I think it was the best game of his career. The height of his insanity against Robinson. http://youtu.be/QnW-Y9WEqRY
What it would be like to see another big man with such grace and touch, but still hang with the big boys on the low block. Today's centers seem to believe they either need to be bangers, or be able to shoot. They don't realize the special ones work hard to do both.
