    I love it.

Say what you want about McHale's coaching, but he is one of the best low post players of all time, and I love the fact that D-Mo and Robinson are learning from him.

I think next year will be fun if Morey can curb his trade addiction.

Asik / Motiejunas / Robinson could develop into an Olajuwon / Thorpe / Herrera rebirth (though not as talented overall). Parsons, like a taller Mario Ellie, is already a sparkplug. Now, if Harden could parlay his skill set into a Mad Max-style defensive/offensive hellraiser and Lin becomes Jet steady, wow, wow, wow.

Our reserves (Greg Smith, Terrence Jones, Carlos Delfino, Francisco Garcia, Patrick Beverley and, perhaps, Aaron Brooks already look good. Tim Ohlbrect may be a surprise. I hope so.

i have to admit ...i like McHale's straightforward/blunt way of communicating. He certainly doesn't baby players and he's not interested in worrying about hurt feelings. I think the no BS way works with a lot of players.

I love his confidence. He thinks he's gonna be one of the best bigs in the league one day. Refreshing to have guys who have that mentality in he and Harden.

Nice. I like that McHale told T-Rob that he didn't like how he was playing. That was my main complaint with watching him on the Kings - it's not that he was just not cut out for this level, it's that he wasn't playing to his strengths (like he did at KU).

In the past two games, he's shown a lot more promise, and gotten back to the paint where he can be a monster on both ends.

This part of the interview was cool. Robinson's offensive game will hopefully develop really well working with McHale, practicing with D-MO, and maybe some training with Hakeem.

SLAM: If you could take parts of five different players’ game, who would those five players be and why?

TR: I’d take Mike’s competitiveness and his work ethic. I’ll take Dennis Rodman’s rebounding. I’ll take Magic’s passing. KD and his whole mentality to the game and I’d take LeBron’s IQ.

SLAM: I see you as a combo of Dennis Rodman and Karl Malone. How long before you embody that?

TR: The defense and the rebounding that comes naturally. I don’t have to practice that. So that’s something that I know from this day until I work on my offensive game, I know I’ll always have. Can’t nobody teach me how to go and get a rebound or play defense. The work ethic, too. Can’t nobody teach you that. The offensive part has to come. That’s the great thing about working with Coach McHale. He knows that. He can teach me that. I’m not there yet, but I think over time, I can get there. But what’s gonna keep me in this League will be the work ethic, the defense and the rebounding. I think I’ll fall a little more on the Rodman side early, until my offense gets better. And it will.

SLAM: Finish this sentence: In five years, when I see you, I’m going to tell you _____.

TR: In five years, when I see you, I’m going to tell you I told you I was gonna be one of the top bigs in the NBA.[/B]

I'm pretty sure he can learn something about playing defense. I'm sure he didn't mean it that way, but he shouldn't walk around thinking the NBA has nothing to teach him about defense.

Dude was shooting .450 TS% playing 15 mpg for one of the worst teams in the NBA. Nobody should like that career.

Trobs gonna be a stud. I truely believe with his work ethic and his given abilities that he will become a foundation Allstar player for the rockets.

Was asking this when the deal happened: What is TRob's upside NBA comparison?

After a couple of games, I think it may be Kenyon Martin.
