Where can one get one of these bear bottles? Does it consist of a bottle with a bear in it that attacks upon breaking said bottle?

Sloan on the Rockets bench would strike fear into the hearts of Jazz fans, but I think his time has passed. I wouldn't like the offense it has never won a championship.

I doubt McHale gets shown the door, even at the end of the season. Unless we have another collapse and miss the playoffs.

But my guess is Les is pretty displeased with McHale, and let it be known. In the space of a week, we had Morey retweeting regarding Lin, JCF asking Parsons whether McHale was displeased with Lin in the Rockets podcast, and McHale coming out and actually saying something positive about Lin after the Mavericks game.

I think all the tweets and frustration by fans of Lin on twitter to Morey/JCF/Feigan etc, and even on clutchfans, finally made its ways up to senior management and ownership.

And don't laugh at this suggestion that things written on Clutchfans regarding Lin and McHale, or just McHale on his own, doesn't get monitored by the Rockets. This is the biggest Rockets online community by far, and if the Orlando Magic tried to gauge the potential impact on ticket sales from trading JJ Reddick away, I can bet you the Rockets organisation has a pulse on what's written on Clutchfans. And that "McHale: Lin 29pt/9TO thread" just hit 80 pages.

So my guess is the upper management tried to calm this issue by making a bit of a light-hearted joke out of it (Morey, and JCF vis podcast), and got McHale to say some nice things about Lin (such as that Chris Paul comparison after the Mavericks game). But obviously McHale isn't too happy to do that (pride, HOF player, and coach). So at the next opportunity, he benches Lin, and doesn't bother to give much of an explanation about it at the post-game interview (unlike the fuller response he gave on playing TRob and sitting Asik).

Even when McHale was asked about playing pre-season games in the Philippines and Taiwan, I think he just said "I'm excited to go to Philippines" and left out Taiwan. I mean, which coach would leave out the country that (your co team-captain) Jeremy Lin's parents came from, out of two countries to name, by accident, when it was such a big story regarding Lin, and name the other country in Asia that hasn't produced any NBA players. He doesn't like the attention Lin is getting, and probably despises that senior management expects him to make it better known publicly that he doesn't have any issues with Lin (or pretend that he doesn't).

    But it's obvious he does.

    Conspiracy theory?

You judge for yourself. This last week has been pretty telling, in my opinion.

It may be an issue with Lin. It may be an issue with Morey not keeping Dragic, and Lin is just the scapegoat because he replaced Dragic (like so many other clutchfans posters here that needed a scapegoat for Dragic or Lowry no longer being here).

Or it may simply be because McHale wants an offense where nobody knows what the hell they're supposed to do, and Lin just makes it a lot harder for McHale to set up his offense that way.

But yeah ... my pick is SVG.

Great guy. Like JVG, speaks it as it is. Team-first. Acceptance of statistics is a plus. Great rapport with Morey.

And now that the core of the team is near set, pretty much the right time to bring him in.

What is the Taiwanese's reaction in pre-season game if Mchale keeps playing Lin like this.

I hope it is his last season as the rockets's coach.

stan van gundy? sucks that our coach would have better handles than our pg! sorry I couldn't resist. i like lin's game.

mcmillan? tough coach. A hipper but lesser van gundy.

Finch? This would make the most sense. He knows the ways of the fuhrer. Those plays where our guards made a hard cut to the basket.. You honestly believe that the antidemocratic ball leaders drew those up? that was finch all the way.

We really need to get to the playoffs.

Finch. Let's see what he can do.

    If not Finch, then SVG.

And for the love of God and all that is holy in this world, NOT freakin' Sampson.

With respect, if not for Michael Jordan-Phil Jackson-Quitten-Rodman, they might have won one or two.

    Hurts to write it.

Why would we want Jerry Sloan? Flopping = fines now; Lin won't get away with Stockton's antics. Maybe if he could teach Malone's dirty tricks to one of our 6 PFs?

Not sure if another collapse will cause early contract termination, but more issues with his players will, especially Lin and/or Asik.

McHale was already walking a tightrope after how his got along with his players. He admitted he had issues with some players last season and blamed it all short season. Morey really showed his support by trading two of those players during offseason, but how many more young talents will Morey lose before he and Les will say, 'enough is enough?'

If Lin or Asik or more players voice their unsatisfaction during offseason, I guarantee McHale will receive an early pink slip. McHale might not realize it but he is walking on thin ice.

THIS! He did & will do what PJ Carelismo is doing now with the Nets. Coaching for another HC job as opposed to coaching this current team.

I want to get a coach & stick with him. Switching up coaches constantly is bad for development. Someone who we feel can lead this team to a title. I don't know why people are complaining about McHale being a young coach & then content bringing in another guy (Finch) with even less NBA experience.

I would like JVG back, hopefully with a better relationship and understanding with the front office. I think he has matured from the point of viewing things from the outside and he has always been a rockets homer. He always speaks good about our team and the front office.

Plus his analysis during games let's you know that he knows the game and what to do in critical situations, in ways that McFail ever did as an announcer to me.

Also, call me crazy, but I would LOVE to see Calvin Murphy as a coach on this team, preferably as an assistant, but even as head coach if that's the only way to get him. But would love to see him as JVG assistant. Although I doubt Les would EVER allow that to happen...just dreaming.

Please no, they depended on prime Steve Nash their entire career and have been absolute garbage coaches without him.

There's some truth to this. I think McHale would get a pass if he missed the playoffs. There's that embedded excuse that Morey traded away 3 of his rotation players.

But if he cannot get along with some highly valued players such as Lin and Asik, then he might have to go. If management would let successful coaches like Rudy T, JVG, and Adelman go without a blink, they would definitely show an unproven guy like McHale the door if he wasn't complying with the "company direction."
