I agree with McHale not trusting Lin, but I think they both should've been in. T-Rob is no Dwight neither, on top of that he's a rook. In a clutch situation, coming from behind, they need offensive weapons and vets who've been in clutch situations and have proven can execute. No clue why McHale is playing rooks, including a 1 who everyone knows is not gonna shoot or need a defender glued to him

Someone should tell McHale that HE needs to stop trying to hit home runs.

Interesting how is played out after brooks signing. To me it's obvious who would McHale rather have brooks take the minutes from.

Except you didn't say that, you said McHale wanted Lin out of this team.

I'm surprised you are trying so hard to defend this. It's not exactly hard to find a post where you explicitly said McHale hates Lin in a thread where you have over 200 posts in.

And it's u Mchail apologists who uses the word hate to discredit Lin fans as if this is all personal. What we really hate is how McHale thinks so little of lins game to bench him for minor mistakes and or if Beverly is having even half a decent game. Got it??? Guess not.

JLin played great but he was showing sign he couldn't close the deal...like in baseball McHale put in the relief pitcher and he gave all he got like any relieving pitcher....the truth is we really loss because of early poor play of DMO.

I don't think McHale hates anybody. I just think McHale has brain fart moments which he is fully aware of & refuses to own up to them. Didn't he put Asik in, in the last few seconds of the game so you know he was aware that he screwed up.

Look he doesn't hate Lin, he just doesnt think highly of Lins game. He is after all one of the decision makers who cut Lin the first time! He just cant turn around suddenly and change his mind just because the owner wants lin back. If you guys can't accept this then you are in denial.

    You said it mike_lu!

I'm not sure what else McHale expects out of Omer and Jeremy? Even when they play well, they still get these random benchings in the 4th.

I don't think it is this either. I think McHale is a young coach who is still figuring things out though. He makes dumb mistakes & has yet to learn from them. I don't mind the dumb mistakes my big issues is that he never owns up to them. Ever. Thibs owns up to his errors, Woodson does the same. McHale no.

You explicitly said McHale hates Lin, that's what you said, not me.

And no I'm not a McHale apologist, I don't think he is doing an A grade job. But do keep up your straw man.

dumb comment is dumb. Thats not why "we lost." DMO didnt play the 4th quarter either and they were up at one point. Thats when you put in your best DEFENSIVE player like Asik...they lost because of poor decision making by the coach, ISO fail by Harden, and bricked 3s. Thats why they lost.

DMO is a high-energy guy that will learn the game. He had some terrific post moves that noone else on the team can do. He'll get a lot better with more experience.

It should be the Rockets fan base that should not trust Mchale. He has a poor track record for GM and coach and needs to pass the 'eye' test of the fans. This team will get nowhere with him as a coach.

Yea, I'm often amazed by McHale's interviews. It's always the players fault: our guys failed to do this, failed to do that. It's never his fault, not a bit.

I'm even OK with this type of answers in his interviews as long as he quietly learns from his obvious mistakes and corrects them in next games. But the problem is, he seems to never learn from his mistakes. He repeats the same old mistakes over and over again. That's the thing that worries me. If he doesn't correct his mistakes in later games, that's the sign that he's clueless and that he didn't even realize that he made some mistakes. That's most depressing thing for fans like me.
