Obviously a Vegas call, how many people bet the Rockets with Dallas favored by 1.5 at home?

If I were Lin and I knew that shot was off in time, EFF IT! FINE ME because I know damn well as well as everyone else that that shot was good.

I missed the first half of the game. Does anyone have a video of that shot everyone's talking about?

Yeah don't they have to have clear evidence in order to overturn a call?

And we did get calls actually, we went to the Lin 33 times compared to 14 by the Mavs

naw, I'm just saying if you want to say that waved 3 costed us the game, you have to weigh other factors too

It was based on the difference of like 5 pixels. How are they confident enough to overturn with that type of proof?

the more egregious call was the out of bounds reversal. the initial call was rockets ball. conclusive evidence is required to overturn the call. how the hell can it be conclusive if it took them 2 minutes to look at it?

    The power of Vegas man...

Also, Idk why this is bothering me so much but when Dirk had his little lapse there midway through the fourth it really pissed me off. Dallas had all the calls in the world going for them, Dirk gets cleanly blocked by a 6'1 point guard and loses his mind. He then proceeds to commit an obviously intential foul on Delfino, knocking him to the floor, and then lashes out at the officials. WTF?!?
And then after he got his first tech, I think it was Crawford that was about to T him up again, another ref comes and pushes Crawford to the side saying lay off. He really should have been tossed IMO.

The Houston broadcast replay was not conclusive, in my opinion... it was shot from far down the court. You can see the lights on the backboard, which is good, but it's hard to tell if it's out of his hand in time. His wrist is still moving forward after the lights go off, but I can't tell if the ball is out of his hands or not.

I was at the game tonight and they never even showed a replay of the 3 on the big screen. They assumed that the 3 was good. I knew that when the clock signaling halftime wasn't counting down that something was up. What upsets me the most is the replay that showed the ball went out of bounds because of Marion. The call was originally Houston ball but they changed it. My problem is that footage doesnt show enough evidence to overturn anything so worst-case scenario; it would go back to the call on the floor.

I think they should have stuck with the on-court call under those circumstances.

That was the shot on the Dallas broadcast too. Also it seemed like the number on the clock and the pink light/buzzer were off synch, which also puzzled me. It seemed like the buzzer when off when the clock showed .1. Definitely not conclusive evidence to overturn the call in any case...

EXACTLY - the ball could have been off of Marion, Harden or Wright and the call was made that it was out on the Mavs initially - there was hardly any evidence otherwise. The officials knew as well that by handing the ball to the Mavs that the game was over. Lets not even mention the foul on the drive and the loose ball foul on Marion on the rebound on Harden.

Again this is a deceptive stat because - yes Harden did shoot more FTs and he hit every single one of them BUT -- if you keep fouling a lot the other team will go to the line a lot. I mean as a Rockets fan you should know this because its the philosophy Jerry Sloan employs -- Foul every single time down the court - yes it will result in more FTs but the refs are not going to call every single foul and things will work out in your favor --- especially at home -- as the refs themselves are going to be like "Man Houston shot a lot of FTs so far - we'll call it a lot looser in the Mavs favor we must have called the game way too tight earlier"

I mean there were so many plays down the stretch that were just bad bad calls or really bad/overlooked no calls.

Again Number of free throws attempted DOES NOT ALWAYS EQUAL Rockets had the officials on their side the entire game.

I was only able to watch the last quarter online (stupid LP BB!!) but it was obvious to see that the Rockets were getting hosed A LOT in the fourth when it came to officiating.

Late in the game Dirk shoved Parsons to the ground on offense (dirk had 5 at this time) even the Mavs announced commentated how Dirk just throw Parson on the ground -- the result of that play?? I believe Mayo hit a 3 to put Dallas back up by 1.

That shove in front of an official out in the open elbow area it was so blatant yet no call

It was really close, Mavs announcer he had two fingers tips on it at 0.0, but it was way too pixilated to really confirm it. Also something about 3 tenths of a second too late.

This!! I'm like where is the coaching here? How is that coaching? How about an offensive set rather than a homerun off balance three with 3 seconds left on the shot clock.

Terrible argument. The Rockets have Harden who drives the ball to the rim a lot. He always gets to the line. Lin, Beverly, and Parsons are good at penetrating as well. Asik gets hacked every time he touches the ball.

The Rockets average 25.6 FTA per game and against a soft team like the Mavericks who have no one who can guard Harden or Asik then you expect 30-40 FTA easily.
