Seriously, we have people here saying that a backup PG who scored 0 pts in this game deserves to be a starter over a guy who played one of his best games of the season against the 2nd best team in the league, and I'M the unreasonable one?

    Get a grip.

I do not think it is a trust issue. Mchale (plus Sampson) always runs a close 4th quarter with Harden. That's his in-game coaching strategy. Is it good? We do not know. It is an easier choice for the coach to run with the superstar.

Mentally, Harden has a lot of growing up to do. He tries TOO HARD to be the man. Great individual player. Too little intangibles to be a leader yet.

actually to be fair to beverly i think he is ok, just that he shouldn't play with Harden. the 2 cancel each other out , like lin and harden did for a while. until lin learnt to play along with harden.

You've said it urself...Last Possession...it's entirely different from what coach is doing...from the 6 minutes mark it's already evident that we are going for ISO Harden...no offense..just let Harden do the thing..let Harden handle the ball..let him create for his shots...let him create for others..do u think it's easy for him?

And though I'm loyal to Harden and the Rockets but he isn't Kobe...

Lin discussing the game: "There was the whole... (long pause) uhhhh I'm not trying to get fined, so I'll leave it at that."

sarcasm... I tired of people throwing out the word LOF for anyone who remotly defends Lin and questions Mchale's substitution patterns.

I watch all the Rockets game. I notice when the game is close, Rockets usually loses. I think it is on the coach.

He did well to keep them in the game but he has no clutch reputation and the D doesn't respect his shot enough to make it easier for Harden to get his off.

I defended McHale sitting Lin out the last game but this was dumb. Lin destroyed Dallas on his own last year hitting clutch 3's over Marion and Dirk. When they're down, McHale sits a PG who's come through in the clutch in the past several times and is an actual offensive threat, in favor of a backup 1 who everyone knows is not gonna shoot and also happens to be cold this game.

The "man" in Houston is harden. (it's Lin if you're talking about PGs though, obviously)

The problem is most of those guys are just trolls trying to rile people up. Then the Lin fans get upset and post some crazy things and then the trolls add fuel to the fire by posting even crazier things. Add in the regular members who get tricked and drawn into this flame war and you can see why the forums are so polarizing.

But the fact is that Lin should have been on the floor in the 4th. Bev does add a spark and his intensity is nice but after awhile is low basketball IQ and poor offense starts to show.

Lin is hands down the better player and should've been in. Like others have mentioned, the Rockets often lose in close games and this is evidence of inexperienced coaching.

In the end the coach has to decide on whether his starters played better or not, and truth be told our bench got us back in the game in the first half...then once the starters came back, our team kept up with Dallas and closed the gap...

While i do agree on keeping the hot hands on the floor, a successful coach trust his starters to make plays down the stretch...its why u pay them the money...and Harden ISO ball isnt always the best answer down the stretch...

If the Rockets do manage on getting to the playoffs, I just wanna say thhat every close game that we may have, will be decided by coaching...and our coaching is piss poor...

Atleast today, they brought in Asik to secure a board...smh

Lin isn't their guy. it's as simple as that, no need to over think it.
somewhere he still has gogi's picture in his wallet.
Actually, I think I might need to watch cute asian girl sing about gogi to get me less angry about tonight's loss.
