I think the customer service complaints are directly related to the over-inflated prices. If you are paying peak value, you expect peak service. If you are getting your service for half price - you can deal with weak customer service because you feel that is where the cuts had to be made to get the price you paid. I know I've blown the trumpet on poor service before and this was pretty much why. I've been with UVerse now for over 6 years and their customer service is hit or miss. I once went over two weeks without service because of how screwy they were. However, in the end - they gave me a month free, re-wired my whole house and left me with some internet over electric adapters for my pc in the computer room that was having a hard time getting a wifi signal. And this was without any mega complaint from me.
If you live in a time warner Cable area, you should be able to get league pass and enjoy the games. I had time warner Cable in Austin and didn't miss a single game while I lived there. The only area that may have an issue with black out restrictions is the time warner Cable Beaumont area
There is no such thing as Comcast LA. That's time warner Cable Sportsnet you're thinking of and no, you can't watch the Lakers games on that channel unless you live in the Lakers broadcast territory. You may get the channel but it will black out come game time similar to NBATV.
I have DishNetwork Bought league pass I was unable too watch rocket games I checked for about two weeks and everytime I tried too watch the game it said "Unable to watch, check with my programming" But if it was any other team then Houston, I could watch it. So, I now cancelled my League pass and got a full reimbursement Now what? How can I watch Rocket/Astro games Yes I live in SouthEast Texas area (Port Arthur) Beaumont Tx area.
Download and use a program that changes your IP and watch league pass BB. Thats what i do. If you want to go that route i can tell you the program i use. Im at work and i dont remember the nameof the program off the top of my head.
Or if you dont mind watching the game after its over, League pass BB will let you watch the rockets game without changing your IP after the game is over and they archive it. Usually takes about 30 minutes after the game is over to be archived.
I use to use that one as well, but it kept causing my pc to blue screen. If you are able to use it with your configuration without it causing a blue screen then its all good. If for some reason whoever cant get hotspot sheild to work with their system i can give out the other program i use once i get back home. You just have to make sure to clear your cookies for whatever web browser you use before using hotspot sheild and going to LeaguePass.
A few question about League Pass BB: When you purchase it, can you go with the five team deal and pick the Rockets as a one of the five teams? I know the IP blocker makes it so that you can watch local games, but do you need it to hide your IP when purchasing? And rather than clicking through this thread looking, can I just Google how to block my IP or was there specific steps mentioned in this thread that must be followed? If I purchase League Pass BB and go with the installment payment option, can I cancel it early? If CSNHouston becomes availible on Direct by the end of the season, then I'd have no need for it anymore. Obviously. Thanks and rep to anyone who can help me out. I used it during the free trial, so you're saying it works if you purchase League Pass? Also, it only worked with Internet Explorer. I couldn't use Google Chrome
You should not need to hide your IP while purchasing, because there is nothing wrong with watching the Rockets if you are out of the area. For example, you take a vacation to California, you can watch the Rockets even though your "home base" is Houston. With respect to your second question, you actually violate the League Pass TOS if you use VPN or a proxy server to spoof your location. Probably want to blame the NBA for that.

Like bobrek said, when you purchase it there's no need to block your IP. Using Hotspot Shield you just have to install the program and connect to their service, the free version works fine since you don't see the ads if you're in full screen mode. Just make sure you are connected before going to the NBA's website. One thing I've noticed is that you can disconnect once you start streaming in case you don't want to be connected all of the time. There are other programs and ways to do it but I haven't looked into them much. I'm not sure about that, I know the price is a little cheaper now since the season is half over. Yeah, it still works. And I have the same issue with Chrome.
Time Warner wouldn't let me cancel after I moved, FYI. Said I could cancel but would still have to pay the rest of installments actually.
