do we really need a drama queen in houston? He's already showing sings of giving up being down in games with LA, what makes you think he could deal with tough losses here in houston, or when he doesn't get his way? No thanks LA can keep him. Dwight has the mindset like Lebron, he wants to go to a team that he can easily win a championship with and still be a hero at the end of the day.
At least I think it's fair to say that compare to Andrew Bynum, Dwight Howard is a perfectly upstanding person (and... still actually standing... in general)
According to Laker's fans, he never got a single pass in the 2nd half until there was 2:25 left in the 4th quarter, this isn't shots, this is being passed the ball at all. He was completely frozen out to an extreme level, the lakers scored a whopping great 16 points in the 4th quarter, I don't even blame him for being miffed at that sort of ****. And I for one would welcome Dwight if he believes we are that franchise. I want championships, not the goodwill games.
I don't think it's fair anymore to compare Dwight to Lebron. At least LBJ has a ring now, and lately he seems to have matured as a player. Maybe it's just me, but I don't look at LBJ as the drama queen he used to be, unlike Dwight who keeps on repeating the same mistakes and doesn't seem to learn from them.
If Howard would come here "healthy" and play the role Asik does, that is play strong defense and just take what offense comes his way, he would be a great addition to the team. The health issues aside, there is no way he would come here and be happy about just taking the offense that comes his way. He would demand the ball down low and b**** and moan about not getting enough touches which would create a locker room cancer. Do not want him!!!! Anyone who can't see what problems he would cause even if he was healthy and that is a big "IF" is just blind to the Dwight star factor.
Lmao Dwight 1-7 6 points 16 rebounds 0 blocks and fouled out in 37 mins You call this guy a superstar?
Brilliant. Trick him into walking away from LA with the promise that he can spend the remainder of his prime playing on a contender, and then trade him to the Timberwolves for Love & Pekovic.
I just have a baaaaaad feeling about both Howard and Bynum. Either their attitude or some lingering injury will prevent them from reaching the promised land. The feeling is stronger against Bynum than Howard, but regardless, I'd rather see Morey pursue a different route. It's irrational given that they're the top two centers in the league, but what can you do.
Any good players are useful addition, but do we go out to get Kobe, Nash, Pau, and Dwight? NO. Because there is 1) a price for every single addition 2) the possibility players want different roles than the ones Rockets want them for. DH12 is not 100% and unhappy, but he's still the best rebounder in the game. He won't sign for anything short of a max, and we are mostly certainly going to part with Asik with his signing. We could need upgrades, but interior defense, to be specific, Asik's position is not an urgent one. Right now, our first priority is a PF who has an offensive game and is a fair rebounder, so that we can mix it up, and keep opponents honest. Speaking of Howard, Orlando Magic had more and better shooters than we do, with putbacks and dunks, Howard scored lots of points. But that wasn't nearly enough for him. He kept complaining to the MEDIA, how he should have got a lot more balls, and how everyone should have kept feeding the post. Mind you, he didn't have a post game, and still doesn't. You want him to be your blue collar, a max blue collar, with his history, and for some reason, you believe he would just be fine with it. Now, who's the silly one?
