    You need to watch the video above again. The second "punch" was Childs grabbing Kobe's jersey around the neck area. Also, watch the clip below and you will see Child's jump back after throwing his punch. Kobe got caught but that could have happened to anybody.

    It looked like Childs threw a 2nd punch. If you think the 2nd punch was Childs grabbing Kobe's jersey, how come Kobe's jersey wasn't pulled when Childs jumped back?

    And Childs jumped back to dodge Kobe's punch.

    I was trying to say that it wasn't a very good punch not that he was literally pulling his jersey. I also agree about that being the reason Childs jumped back. The point was that Kobe didn't back down and I don't doubt that his arrogance would have resulted in him smacking Ibaka and possibly getting knocked out afterwards.

    :eek::eek:

    Kobe Bryant saw Serge Ibaka's below-the-belt hit Sunday on Blake Griffin and thought that some retaliation was in order.

    "I probably would have smacked [Ibaka] in the mouth," Bryant said after the Los Angeles Lakers practiced Monday. "I would have dealt with the pain after."

    How will Dwight Howard plan to face Ibaka?

    "I mean, you got to wear a cup," Howard joked.

    Why throw a punch? Is it worth hundreds of thousands of dollars?

    It's pretty funny how Espn LA put up an article saying Lakers prove they can compete with west's elite this morning. I guess if getting within 6 during the 4th quarter and then going on to lose by 17 is "competing". I imagine most lottery teams have accomplished that at some point this season.

    Too bad they are 6-17 vs playoff teams in the west.

    I didn't see the game but I assume Kobe pulled another one of his fake injuries which always seem to occur when the Lakers are getting their asses kicked? The most common symptom of this is the drawn out, exaggerated grimace and constant tapping/swinging of the "injured" body part. Then, once Kobe makes a few shots, it mysteriously goes away, never to be heard from again. It's really the perfect crutch-- if the Lakers win, Kobe is the "heroic warrior" who willed his team to victory under the most dire of circumstances; if they lose, hey, he was injured!

    In a way I kinda want the lakers to make the playoffs. The dictator David Stern would probably end up gifting them the number one pick in the lottery.

    Wouldn't matter, Suns get their first round pick from the Nash deal.

    Based on the above, I'd suggest Kobe's injury is about to start playing up again???

    Well, it usually only flares up in nationally televised games, to maximize the drama.
