in that case its a coup for morey yet again. matchups would be crazy if some of these guys happen to have it rolling. AB IMO can also play an admirable 2, albeit at the sacrifice of the defensive battle, but i think you can scheme for that. go the Morey route of efficiency by saying if we can exchange 2's for 3's in the scoring sense we win. i like the deal a whole lot more. i could totally see a bombs away lineup of: Harden/Parsons/Lin/AB/Donuts damn and what if Delfino is draining them, or even Bevely? has a better 3 point shooting team ever been assembled? not just for the Rockets, but in NBA history?

Surely Murray is smart enough to not sign a guy at this point that isn't eligible for the play offs.

The way I understand it, you simply can't be on a contract guaranteed for the rest of the season with another team after the deadline. So, waived before the deadline is okay, on 10-day contract that expires after the deadline is okay, etc.

AB is a Fantastic Player who will provide the Rockets coaching staff with additional Depth, Flexibility, Experience, & more Power heading into the playoffs...

The basketball season resembles a marathon to a greater degree than say a sprint.

It is truly a Luxury to able to WIN and not have to overexert some players on certain games or b2b's, 3 games in 4 nights, 4 games in 5 nights, etc. which provides more rest to prevent injuries and other occasional unfavorable consequences while keeping legs fresher to go all out on both ends of the floor for more minutes & in the fourth quarter especially for those who are already banged up

Although a rookie, Thomas Robinson is already making Significant moves on the Rockets. At the very least, he may not have to go on those 4am condom runs :grin:

Team option

 

Think of it as an incentive to get the team option. That cap space wasn't going to be used this season. His $2.5 million team option may turn out to be a valuable asset down the line. Even if it gets picked up, he will be a nice cheap expiring PG for next season.

 

Good to have him back. Hope he's still got the fearlessness. Anyone got that Rock Band picture of AB playing guitar?

 

Yes, salary is not pro-rated. With that, FO acknowledges AB has history with us, he's no ordinary bench player.

And with that, AB accepts whatever role we give him and the risk of being off HOU roster next year.

We will get a taste of AB's shooting sooner than later. I'm excited!

 

Love this move, instead of finding a stop gap emergency PG, we get a solid NBA rotation player, well done Morey.
