What star would you want the Rockets to chase in FA?

What would you want the Dungeon Master to do?

  1. Try to sign D12 or CP3 and drop Asik or Lin

    A bad signing could cripple the future of this team, so I would roll it over to 2014 for Love or Aldridge. Unless we can get Paul (0% chance) or Howard (much better chance and someone who will have trade value even if he fails here), be patient and wait.

    Sign AI, move parsons to the 4. Trade Robinson, White for picks. We'd have some defensive now and still have speed.

    This year we are going into the off season with everyone jelling and improving like crazy... and everyone does not have an EGO... everyone has something to prove... sky is the limit for them... I would like to see what this current group can do next season...

    I see more cons than pros if we add dwight or CP3 into the line up...

    Dwight:
    1. hack a dwight
    2. locker room
    3. lack of leadership

    CP3:
    1. does not improve defense
    2. harden will have to defer to CP3 as CP3 has a bigger personality that harden.
    3. our front court is still a problem
    4. 2 max back court does not win a champoinship.


    Imo to be a championship contender you need at least 2 max guys who can cover multiple positions from 1 - 5 (see miami, lakers kobe+gasol, celtics garnet + pierce, spurs ducan+parker).

    CP3 and dwight is not that.

    lets just wait and see D-Mo and T-Rob develop.

    As someone that's played AD&D, 3rd, 3.5, and 4th edition D&D I love the nick name Dungeon Master. But I also love Dork Elvis.

    Can someone start a poll for best nick name for our GM?

    Obviously ideal is to get a true 2nd star, but I love the far more realistic idea of acquiring role player and running with the current roster for a while to assess what we have now. I honestly think D-Mo or T-Rob could be stars anyway.

    Not likely to happen, because Howard won't sign. Rockets won't dump Asik because they have 50% at one position. They have to have a greater need at another. PG is manned. SG has Harden and Anderson. SF has Parsons, Anderson. PF will have Motiejunas and Robinson.

    I can't decide, we improved so fast, I am curious if an offseason and another run would be enough if we added just a some good reserves, or improved at the 4 (depending on Motie's progess as well).

    Honestly, I think I would rather have D-MO, than acquire Kevin Love. Think about it, D-mo can do everything Love can do except for rebounding. Even then, D-mo is no slouch in the rebounding department.

    I just watched Thabeet outplay DHo, who cannot jump like he used to jump, and cannot make a free throw to save his life. Just say no to DHo.

    Plan A: Dwight Howard

    Plan B: J Smoove

    Plac C: Resign Carlos Delfino, fill in role players/deepen bench

    Realistically you have pretty much 0 chance of getting CP3. Dwight I am not sure of since he changes his mind every 2 seconds.

    Assuming neither is available it would be best to seek second tier stars but not overpay. So no max for Josh Smith.

    If that isn't possible. A trade for LMA would be nice though I doubt we have the assets to get him.

    Then that off chance of getting LBJ in 2014(very low).
