Your user name reminds me of this old MadTV sketch:

Great pickup. Brooks will be big for this team come playoff time, can put up 18-20 points at anytime, and a great 4th quarter shooter (this team is full of volume shooters, but no shooter as pure as Brooks outside of Harden).

His skill set fits in nice next to either Harden or Lin. I'd take Lin/Brooks as the PG rotation in a playoff series over Lowry/Dragic, or Brooks/Lowry 10 times out of 10.

Interesting how things played out these past few seasons for Brooks/Lowry/Dragic, and how their fates are intertwined. Will be interesting to see moving forward which 1 of them becomes the best.

Am I wrong on the jersey number rule? I'm surprised he was able to switch like that.

    Either way, welcome back AB0!

    back up 2?

AB is a good shooter but smallish. So how can he back up #2 Harden without the size to defend the opponent's # 2? This will be a big liability at the D.

Maybe not with Beverley, who is short, but a great defender.

It'll be a gamble either way. Beverley is an active defender (smart too mostly) but any decent SG will be able to back him down in the post and just shoot over him.

We ran Lowry and Dragic together a lot last year with success. And the year before that we ran Brooks with Lowry. I'm sure Lin/Brooks could work as well.

I see the fit right away. AB and PB (and or Lin/Harden ) on the floor together with our big men running the floor for 4 minutes plus... Good god... If AB still has that crazy range from outside, look out... Some teams will get steam rolled by the pace.

AB on defense now is better than he was. He grew up a little and I hope he knows not to quit on this team. Who did we cut?

Big fan of the guy, but wouldn't call Bev a great defender. Certainly an energetic one...

brooks wont even be able to suit up if we make the playoffs. scratching my head how exactly it helps the team in the thick of the race, other than maybe mchale will start to limit minutes for Lin? even though there is no assurance that we would even make the playoffs? and then the team option for next year that most certainly will be picked up. to me it just opens up room for 'conspiracy theorists' and biggest downer again is that he isnt eligible for the playoff roster.

Just to get something straight... is AB cleared to play for the playoffs? I'm not sure what the procedure is/signing situation in order for a player to play in the playoffs after thetrade deadline. Can someone please enlighten me?

As long as you are cut/waived before cutoff date, it doesn't matter if you sign a day before the playoffs, you're eligible.
