Wut. DaTrillStak5 aka Stephen Jackson disagrees. Somebody tell serg Abaka. He aint bout dis life. Next time he run up on me im goin in his mouth. That's a promise. He doin 2 much.
Maybe because Griffin is clearly fouling Ibaka the entire time, and unlike with Cousins, the intent is not clear that Ibaka was trying for a "loose ball foul" instead of breaking Griffin's death grip on Ibaka's jersey.
Disagree - he still clear as day hits him in the groin, hence the fine. If they think the intent was there he is suspended at least a game.
Such a shame that the NBA doesn't seem to implement the new flopping rules against the 'superstars'. They seemed to be pretty active with it at the start of the season but it's really dried up mid-season. But then again I must be one of those naive people who is still waiting for someone to call those dunks he does, where he basically throws a forearm to the face of the defender and forces them down, an offensive foul
You must be a troll or just stupid if you actually believe the crap you just posted. I don't care if Griffin is the biggest flopper in the league, but you can't just PUNCH someone and not get suspended. It was clearly intentional cause you don't just reach around and punch the man in the nuts without it being intentional.
Kobe Bryant saw Serge Ibaka's below-the-belt hit Sunday on Blake Griffin and thought that some retaliation was in order. "I probably would have smacked [Ibaka] in the mouth," Bryant said after the Los Angeles Lakers practiced Monday. "I would have dealt with the pain after." How will Dwight Howard plan to face Ibaka? "I mean, you got to wear a cup," Howard joked. http://espn.go.com/los-angeles/nba/s...-blake-griffin
Out of curiosity, what do you see when you watch the video? With how aggressive your post is, it is clear you are very certain you know exactly the intent and actions involved. So, please elaborate.
Uh, a punch/whack/slap? It is clear, at the very least, that Ibaka intentionally smacked Blake. Regardless of where he intended to land his blow, the league should punish this type of behavior. Any intentional hit like that needs to be penalized accordingly.
Was KG suspended when he groin-punched Channing Frye as he was shooting a couple of years ago? It was so obvious he was ejected. Afterwards, he showed no regret whatsoever.
Cheapshot is called cheapshot for a reason. Although it's called a call or even a flagrant one by officials, every one else calls it cheapshot. Why do we need any more explanation? Why does it have anything to do with who the recipient is?
