Holy crap Ozil has gone missing. Both weeks I haven't seen him create anything.

And now I'm anticipating the worst.

One of the worst straight reds ever.

As Grant Wahl tweeted- somewhere(Milan) Nigel De Jong is laughing hysterically.

Sucks. All anyone is going to discuss if Madrid hold on is Nani. Unfortunately that's completely as it should be. Real were listless before the red.

Why does Morinho start leaving the lockers before the game? I hope one day it blows up in his face.

Even Roy Keane, a ManU legend and a man who butchered quite a few players during his professional career, says it was a clear red card. No intention, but it's still a kick in the chest.

Yellow at best. He clearly did not see the man and was playing the ball. United's defense was excellent before that moment. Scoreboard is scoreboard, but the official needs to be 100% correct before he makes that call in a game of this magnitude. Result sucks, but all the respect in the world for CR7 and Jose Mourinho. They are all class.

You might want to check on Roy Keane's current relationship with United. Him saying it was a clear red card doesn't suggest he doesnt have an axe to grind at the moment(like he always seems to do)

No chief, I watched the match like everyone else and saw a listless Madrid team that weren't having their way against a United team with 11 on the pitch. Referees decision led to a change in momentum and a change in the match. If you have better analysis let us know.

Regardless of Mourinho's motives, his post match speech said it all.
    "The best team lost".

best team my ass... Mou is just position for the job at ManU when the old man leaves.

when it was 11 aside, the best team can't score at home???

You did read the part where I wrote "regardless of Mourinho's motives" right?
Pretty sure that means whethere he is angling for a job or not. Either way, Mourinho is clever but also not stupid. SAF won't be leaving anytime soon and Mourinho will be out of Madrid by the end of the season with or without a Champions League title.
Regardless of his motives, there's truth in his statement and I'm fairly sure objective supporters realize that.

When it was 11 a side, the best team created a goal which was scored on their behalf. Call it what you want but it was a goal to the side that created the goal. OG/goal scored by player on the team that created the opportunity, all count for the same amount and for the team that created the goal.

The ABU in you is shining though. It's fine if you are happy about the outcome of the match but if you think there's no truth to Mourinho's words that the best team lost today then you're deceiving yourself.

ABU???, I have no idea what that means so no comment.

As for being happy or not, I don't like or dislike either team. I just don't like it when ignorant fans deflect and rationalize.

Fact is the Nani challenge was unnecessary. Why doesn't anybody bring that up. Nani invited the ref to make a call and he did. A veteran like Nani should no better.

Fact is that Rafeal could have also had a red for a handball on the goal line clearance. It could have been a red and a pk. But u still mad at the ref right...

Fact is ManU scored 1 goal over 180+.

Fact is Fergie's tactics while seemingly working would have always been fragile the second something went against his team. Playing not to lose instead of playing to win burned his ass in both legs.

Fact is Mou was able to adjust after a major change. Kaka for Di Maria (injured early which is always tough for a team) worked great. Modric coming on after the red was also great. Mou was preparing Benzema to come in just when the goal was scored and sat him back down not making the change. Again a no move that worked.

Fact is Fegie was not capable of responding to change. Every sub he made had no impact.

Fact is that Ferdinand is a Douche Bag for treating the ref that way and should be suspended a game or two for next year's UCL.

All Nani was trying to do was bring the ball under control. He had no idea where Arbeloa was until the very last moment.

In my opinion, Nani had a high boot, a yellow was deserved. But both Nani and Arbeloa were looking straight up at the ball, there's no intent whatsoever. And it really did change the flow of the game. Madrid looked tired and out of ideas, while Man Utd were defending and countering very well. After that red, Utd were demoralized and lost their attacking edge, and Madrid knew it. It ruined the game.
