never really the biggest AB fan, however he fits the team much better than our other PGs. With his shooting and penetration ability, he could easily go off for 20+ every now and then if given the minutes.

I like the idea of putting pressure on Beverly to keep his high level play up. Not really sure how Brooks will find minutes.

Let's see we traded him to Phoenix for Dragic and then Phoenix traded him to Kings for nothing and got back Dragic for multi-year deal

We got Dragic and let him walk for nothing and we got Brooks back

    WTF

Rest Harden. He's playing through an injury.

Unlikely. His contract will be a major piece for any deal we make draft time. The cap hit would also be bad.

Exceptions would be pro-rated. He really had suitors with cap sapce?

I'm disappointed that frontloaded contract offer is off the table now.

Unlikely. Any deal we would potentially make draft time can just be put on hold till after the July Moratorium. Garcia can't really be traded anyway - my understanding is he has a true team option, as opposed to an unguaranteed year, so that option would have to be exercised in order for him to be traded on draft day.

Since no one will pay Garcia $6m plus, he's not going to be dealt on draft day.

In terms of a cap hit, we pay him whether he sits on the bench the rest of the year or not.

I still think Honeycutt or Anderson is a more likely cut though.

It was reported last night that it isn't prorated. Its lump sum.

At this point, it really doesn't matter. I also think that the size of the contract also has to do with his contract being a nice trade piece for a draft night trade to make up a gap in salary needed. 2.5 million for 3 or 4 weeks of basketball is good regardless of who the player is(for the player).

He had to have accepted this contract with good indication that he would not be a Rocket next season due to the trade chip that is the team option.

The one who will be cut from the roster is the player who has the word "cut" in his name. ;)
