Brooks has his midrange jumper goin' on this season, so we might see some of this:

What I want to know is, what number is he going to wear?

Via the Stretch provision, Honeycutt would be paid $33,333 of his $100k guarantee in each of the next 3 seasons. Plus, the Rockets can elect whether to take the same cap hit in each year or to take a one-time, $100k cap hit next year.

Do you think we'll see the Brooks of old when we play the Lakers? That would be special.

Easy there. Brooks is 28. And a "young" 28 given his 4 year college career and China tour. He may not have any upside left, but assuming he's fully recovered from his injuries, his production should be stable.

He had a fantastic season with Guangdong last year. This dude can still ball and is gonna help us a lot in my opinion.

Now there's your point guard who can spot up for threes. He could benefit well in McHale's system. Very nice acquisition for our team. This definitely gives us more firepower and depth.

so why didn't he work out in Sacramento or Phoenix for that matter? Why was Sac willing to just waive him for nothing? Its kind of like we traded PPAT-Douglas-ALdrich for Robinson-Garcia-Honeycutt-Brooks :)
