Game pretty much over. I'll be settling for 7th place in about 1 minutes. It'll have to do pig, it'll have to do.
Looking at GSW's schedule the rest of the way, it's a complete cakewalk. Very doubtful that we finish ahead of them.
ummm..we are ONE GAME--ONE--behind them. I think we can finish ahead of them EASILY if we just take care of business. They are clearly vulnerable based on their recent losing streak. Really, we can't catch them with 20 or so games left??? really?
The thing is that was a completely winnable game if they weren't so stubborn as to who gets to score. Just feed the hot hands and they could have won. Even though it was 42 pts for the 4th, alot of those were from FTs. All they had to do was keep feeding the hot hand that is Johnson, but noooooo it MUST BE TO THE DIVAS that is Gay and Bargani. Bone headed decisions making in general at the 4th. Typical Raptors throwing their game away.
I agree.... I think we need a count down clock to the next ass-Kicking we put on the Mav's.. just saying
Contrary to popular choice...I wouldn't mind playing OKC at all. These playoffs are going to be a true test to see where we need to improve and how good we really are. Why not measure up against the cream of the crop and the immediate best of the West for now and the immediate future? Also, if you're going to upset a team it usually happens in the FIRST ROUND. Some of the greatest upsets of all time and THE GREATEST upset happened in the first round (pick 1 between 1994 and 2007). Here they are. 1995 Our 6th seeded Rockets beat Utah 3rd seed (60 win team with homecourt in the dreaded Delta Center aka hell) 2011 #8 Memphis beats #1 Spurs 2001 #6 Hornets beats #3 Heat 1984 Nets beat the Sixers 1999 #8 Knicks beat #1 Heat 1994 #8 Nuggets shock the #1Sonics 2007 #8 GSW over #1Mavs True Superstars are made in the playoffs and I think Harden is going to solidify that he really is ELITE on a national level. Who better for James Harden to bust out on then against his former team? Plus, I think CP3 and Parker are way too cerebral and would give us much more fits compared to that guy in OKC. With Westbrick you know he's going to cost the Thunder at least 1 game if not 2. I could see the matchup being much closer than some are expecting it to be.
It's gonna be tougher than you think. GS has a ****load of home games against ****ty teams. Much easier than our schedule IMO. Rockets haven't been playing superb as of late either.
Utah's schedule for the rest of this month. @ Cleveland @ Chicago @ New York vs Detroit @ Oklahoma City vs Memphis vs New York @ Houston @ San Antonio @ Dallas vs Philadelphia vs Phoenix @ Portland vs Brooklyn 8 of these games are against +.500 teams, 5 of them will be at their homecourt. Dallas and Portland are no slouch either, and they will be on the road against them. They are only truly favored in about 4 games. Cleveland, Phoenix, Philly and Detroit. The rest are either losses or toss ups.
I don't think Utah makes the post season this year. @ Cleveland WIN @ Chicago LOSS @New York LOSS VS Detroit WIN @ OKC LOSS VS Memphis LOSS VS New York LOSS @ Houston LOSS @ San Antonio LOSS @ Dallas LOSS VS Philly WIN VS Phoenix WIN @ Portland WIN VS Brooklyn LOSS VS Denver LOSS VS New Orleans WIN @ GS LOSS VS OKC LOSS VS MINN WIN @ MINN WIN @ Memphis LOSS I could easily see the j*zz go 8-13 the rest of the way.
