Yes. Thank you. You do not risk the wrath of the commissioner over Aaron Brooks. Once he cleared waivers, Brooks could have gone anywhere. Sac couldn't ever really promise him to the Rockets in the first place. Even with a wink-wink deal to get more money in his buy-out, he can always just give Houston the finger and sign with whomever. What could we do? Complain to the commissioner that he broke an illegal promise?
@Jonathan_Feigen: Best guess is Honeycutt. RT @graceo99: @Jonathan_Feigen who will the Rockets waive?
Wasn't not that long ago that the Magic wanted to pursue Mchale the coach for tampering? Beginning of last season right?
1) I never heard that from any reliable source, if you have one feel free to post it. 2) Unless I missed something, I never heard of him being penalized in any fashion, so I'm gonna assume there was nothing to those "rumors" What is your point here? You keep tryin to come up with some way to tie Mchale to some delusional scenario where he is making under the table, handshake, wink wink deals. Give it up, it can't and WON'T happen.
As you should. Given McHale had no idea the Patterson/Robinson deal was going down, I think it's pretty safe to say McHale is not intimately involved in the roster construction process.
Agree. He's another weapon we'll have to maintain the pace we're using. We won't be crazy about his defense, but I have a feeling that's not why we're getting him, assuming we are.
You're right. I do agree with you, but I also like to play devils advocate. I feel it is highly unlikely but not impossible. Even if it was possible, I'm sure bballhollic would be the last to know.
I believe it was originally reported by DA, then reposted by Amick. http://bbs.clutchfans.net/showthread.php?t=211531
Those tweets say absolutely nothing about McHale. They do mention Houston, but I would think that would be pointing towards Morey if anyone. McHale just coaches if I'm not mistaken.
Here is another link. It's tricky for me to post the correct link. I could just post the Realgm link but that is against the rules. Basically, I don't know how to post someones twitter from 2 years ago. Just their twitter from today. Read the final sentence. http://www.slamonline.com/online/nb...and-rockets-for-tampering-with-dwight-howard/
When Beverley showed up on the court the wife asked, "when did we get back Brooks?" (I'll admit he has the same form as Brooks...and especially being a bit bow legged) Now she's going to go cross-eyed.

Unbelievable. It's not a wink wink deal. Brooks agent simply agrees top a buyout and release based on the promise that he is going to be advantaged by a new deal. No bypassing or undercutting the CBA. I can't believe some of you veterans here won't accept the connection to the trade.
