When was the last time our starting five were all at the average height or above the average height at their respective positions?
With D-mo entering the starting line up we finally have a team that is not undersized.
    lin 6' 3"
    Harden 6' 5"
    Parsons 6' 9"
    Dmo - 7'
    Asik 7'

Time to trade Asik and star TRob at center.

    Dalembert/Camby, Scola, Parsons, Martin/Lee and Lowry/Dragic?

    Before that:

Yao, Scola, Battier, Artest and Rafer.

Scola is 6' 9". Same height as our current starting small forward.

if you want to go magnum size, after lin takes a breather,
    you can go..

    Harden 6'5 point.

Delfino 6'7 sg (if drob gets a 3 inch spurt in the height charts, y can't delfino get 1 inch!)

    Demo 7' small forward

    Timmy 7' PF

    asik 7' Center

It does feel good having DMO and Asik out there together.

Awesome thing about Dmo is that we do not sacrifice quickness and speed with his height.

Most would say Scola was undersized in most match ups he faced with the combination of height and lack of jumping ability. He was all skill. Usually a 6' 9" and under power forward compensates his height with his athleticism and wingspan... neither Scola possessed.

Have you seen Scola in person in a game?

Also, an even more recent version of a lineup fitting your description is:

    Lin
    Harden
    Parons
    Patterson
    Asik

This is true especially if you want to get wingspan and arm length into the discussion. Patterson is 6'9.25'' with shoes and has a 8'11'' standing reach http://www.draftexpress.com/profile/Patrick-Patterson-1225/, which is higher than Joakim Noah's standing reach (8'10.5'').

The whole obsession with height is meaningless. It's more important to have guys with average or above basketball abilities.

I actually like this lineup a lot. Except, Parsons as SF and DMo for PF. Lin can play more SG with Bev.

We're actually tad bit bigger then the OP posted:

    Measurements from the combine:

    Chandler Parsons - 6'10

    Jeremy Lin - 6'4

This is one of the things I'm most excited about. We have a very fast, tall team. That's a difficult combination to come by if you also want to find players with skill... and our guys have strong skills too, albeit raw in many cases and in need for further development.

Only thing the Rockets really lack to be your ideal NBA team physically, is strong jumping ability. But I guess T-Rob has that, and Harden/Parsons aren't bad.

    Lin can jump too.
