I go to a massage place on a regular basis as part of my back pain treatment. Just to get it out of the way, it is legit, no happy endings, touching, etc. The place is owned by a woman who's probably a couple years older than me. We always have a little chat everytime I'm over because we're both Chinese and from similar places in China. So last week, the owner asks me if I want to go have dinner with her, or if I'm too busy, then maybe just grab coffee with her at a coffee place. I don't know why she hit on me, since I talk about my wife all the time, but anyway she did. Here's where the mind games begin. I go home and promptly have this conversation with my wife: Me: Hey hun, the owner of the spa totally asked me out today. Wife: Oh that's nice. Can we stop by Marshalls this Saturday? I need to buy a couple of things. Me: Wait, did you hear me? I told you, the FEMALE owner of the spa asked me to have dinner with her. Wife: So did you say yes? Me: Of course not! Wife: Ok then. So which Marshalls do you think we should go to? Me: You're not going to ask me to stop going to the spa then? I mean, what if it's busy and she has to massage me? Wife: No, you should go back. It's better for your back right? +1 point to the wife. I'm now checking for a new massage place.
Are you sure she was asking you out? As for your wife, either she has 0% jealousy and does not believe you would ever cheat or she simply does not believe you.
Maybe I mistook it. But she was pretty aggressive in asking me to have dinner with her. My wife is not the jealous type, but if the owner wound up giving me a massage, I don't know what she would do. She used to be ok with me going to strip clubs (a free pass that I never indulged in after I met her), but then one day she came out and said "if you goto a strip club, I'll leave you." mind games..
I'm surprised that someone who's probably heard more of your stories than anyone else could be that bored and distracted. Very cunning of her to try and get an adult task completed while you're deepwater drilling for attention over a false hypothetical.
No ninja mind games. Your wife knows that if she diminishes the significance of the story, then you will do the "right" thing. If you don't, then she will actually draw the line. She just knows you really well, as evidenced by this thread.
Your wife's confidence is way more attractive than someone who gets jealous. It works for my wife, too, and she knows it. Two way street though...I have zero problem with the random guy at the bar this past Saturday night buying her a drink, not knowing that the guy standing on the other side of her was her husband. She's going home with me after all. Why would we want to be attached/married to someone that no one else was interested in? It should come as no surprise to us that someone else finds our spouse/significant other attractive.
1. Women dont care if you are married or not. If they want to go out with you, they will do what they want. (So many affairs going on in the world its not even funny.) 2. Just because she asks you to have dinner or coffee doesnt mean she likes you like that. Maybe she sees you as a friend. Friends can have dinner or coffee. Besides it's only weird if you make it weird. 3.You don't seem to be the type of guy to do anything stupid. Your wife seems to know that aswell, obviously you go to get massages and you tell her when you get hit on. She trusts you, so why not trust yourself? 4. You made a thread on CF to make sure that your doing the right thing. Obviously you know what to do, and you just want confirmation. Confirmation: Your wife is your wife, massage is only a service. Find another place to get massaged, take your wife to the nicer Marshall's and buy her something nice
