What about that new German guy who got from dleague? Maybe he's better fit at backup center when paired with DRob?

The best part about playing Dallas again is it kind of simulates the playoffs to a small degree. We exposed them in the 3rd quarter by getting out on breaks and driving and dishing. I'm more excited to see if we can get them twice in a row here. They will be more than ready for us this Wednesday. It will speak volumes about our squad if we can beat them down again and on the road this time.

    My random rotation thoughts.

    - D-Mo at Center with T-Rob at PF. T-Rob bring strength, D-Mo brings offense. Both bring energy and motor.
    - Beverley with Harden works because Beverley brings defense and off the ball shooting while Harden is the play maker.
    - Lin is also a play maker and should be the primary option while Harden is off the court. With 2 great play makers, neither should be off the court at the same time.
    - I love Asik and D-Mo starting together. 2x 7 footers with D-Mo being able to stretch the floor and run like a deer. Good things will happen with them playing together.
    - Greg Smith looks to be out of the rotation now. He started strong this season but has declined. No longer looks to be playing with energy. Where is his passion and drive? Seems a bit mechanical to me.
    - Garcia should see a few mins at the 2 with Lin running the 2nd group.

Here is my suggested rotation based on the last 3 games with our updated crew:

    Starters:
    Lin
    Harden
    Parsons
    D-Mo
    Asik

6mins Left in the 1st Q: Beverley and Delfino in for Lin and D-Mo (going small ball lineup) Beverley/Harden/Parsons/Delfino/Asik

    3 mins left in the 1st Q: D-Mo and T-Rob in for Parsons and Asik - Beverley/Harden/Delfino/T-Rob/D-Mo

Start of 2nd Q: Lin and Parsons in for Beverly and Harden - Lin/Delfino/Parsons/T-Rob/D-Mo

    5 mins into 2nd Q: Harden, Garcia and Asik in for Delfino, T-Rob and D-Mo - Lin/Harden/Garcia/Parsons/Asik

3 mins left in 2nd Q: Beverley and D-Mo in for Lin and Garcia - Beverley/Harden/Parsons/D-Mo/Asik

    Start of 3rd Q: Starters in - Lin/Harden/Parsons/D-Mo/Asik

    Similar rotation to 1st half.

Obviously this is subject to matchups but it gives an ok framework.

    What are your thoughts?

DMo's upside is tremendous. Though raw he is flashing some brilliant moves and some suffocating defense (Dirk got frustrated). I agree that he and Asik together are potentially formidable. The are big and mobile. Along with Parsons that is a very large front line. Add a back court that is clever, speedy, and scores, I like it.

D-Mo is a pure 4. Too light in the britches to play 5.

Nowitzki averaged 21pts in the last 5 games before playing against houston. But Nowitzki and Kaman were not physical players who used force. Physical players like deandre and griffin would just push Dmo around

Sergio is my sister's favorite golfer.
But I am still going for Tiger Woods despite the fact he closed Honda Classics with a 74!;)

The guy is 22 years old. he is not a pure anything yet. He will definitely get bigger and stronger. The game I watched last night showed DMo laying stronger than Anthony or Aldrich have. If Mchale thinks he can play backup then he are you to argue. Okay you are a clutchfan on a fan board and that is your right but it doesn't make you right. Give the kid a chance to see what he does. I am not saying he is the second coming of Hakeem but he does have some offensive skillset that makes him a favorable player to have on the court provided he isn't a big liability on D. ANd last night it appeared he can play some D too. That's all I am saying. We'll see what happens going forward.

If we're talking about starting center's, I agree, he can't handle those. But against back up center's I have to disagree. Because truth be told, most backup center's are really power forwards masquerading as center's.

Hell, look at our current first round match, the Spurs, their main backup center is a combo of Blair and Diaw. If you look through out the league, there's very few teams that actually have true center's as backups anymore.

Respectfully disagree. Not by much, but I like Motiejunas in post better in most circumstances.

    I could be wrong.

DMO has some serious trade value now. Send him and Trob to the bucks for Larry Sanders.

I love Sanders but I think this move is bad. Sanders is transforming into a real stud, but it's his 3rd NBA season already. Wouldn't you rather see what comes out of D-Mo and T-Rob in a couple of years (knowing their potential/ceiling)?

    I like D-Mo in the 4 position
    Smith regressing
Give that German guy a chance at C
We need an adequate backup for Asik
How about bringing back Yao for a 10 day contract?

Defense wins championships and in this trade, you retain the best player of the trade. Jeff Van Gundy once said, whoever got the best player in the trade, won the trade. Larry becomes the guy who makes our team's defense elite.
You then become extremely flexible in FA. Upgrade at the 1,3,5 and you have the new west powerhouse.
    Lin....…?
    Harden
    Parsons..........?
    Sanders
    Asik ...........Howard

I meant to say upgrade at either the 1,3, or 5

That's a flawed logic though. It work best only when that 'best player in the trade' is a SUPERSTAR (really rare players). Giving up two already very solid rookies (possibly some picks as well) with great ceilings who can already play at an average level for an above average player (not even an allstar) in his 3rd season doesn't seem to be the greatest choice.
