Patterson sucks. Best trade of the trade deadline. The Jazz are playing horrible right now and GSW is slipping too. Dallas and Portland have no chance. Lakers are a powerhouse team and they will get into the playoffs no matter what. It'll be a tough battle for the last remaining spots but we'll make it for sure.

They are 6-4 since Gasol went down. All 4 of those losses were on the road against playoff teams, where they were blown out 3 of the 4 times. The only win they have vs a playoff team since Gasol went down was vs Boston at home, right after Buss died. It looks like they have figured out how to beat bad teams at home, but still haven't figured out how to beat good teams on the road. To their credit, we still haven't figured out how to beat the bad teams on our schedule.

If they beat ATL (at home) and OKC (on the road) then I'll be a believer. But if the teams in the 6-8 spots keep losing 2-3 games in a row then they can get in.

the Rockets are supposed to have the 4th easiest schedule of playoff contenders down the stretch. they have blown three of those gimme games in the last 5 or 6.

just like the Lakers at the beginning of the season who were making room for banners and sizing up their rings, the games have to be played and the team has to earn it.

they have not earned it in the last week and of course they aren't down and out, but this is the last thing I want to see is the Lakers creeping on us like this

What are you, Ricky Rubio? I am not changing my face. The Lakers have the heart or a champion. The Rockets have the heart of a Wall Street hedge fund guy.

    Antawn Jamison's last 10 games.

    20 mpg
    13.4 ppg
    5 rpg
    49.6% fg
    46.4% 3pfg

    24mpg
    last 5 games
    15 ppg
    5rpg
    52% fg
    57% 3pfg

and so far tonight he's 3-4 and 2-3 from 3. I'm happy he finally started to get himself going. Coming out of last season I loved this pick up by the Lakers. Despite the Cav's sucking last year he did have a pretty good individual year and has always been a reliable scorer ( at least in the regular season). I'm happy to see that he's still finding success despite being with the Lakers.

Right, because he was really going to hit him in the face with the ball. Feel free to post that Childs clip. How gangster does Kobe look in that one?

Kobe is not what I would consider a tough guy but you have to admit that the non flinch was pretty impressive,

Oh no doubt. But not enough to compensate for getting 2 pieced and then have someone say you are gangster. I'm not saying Kobe needs to be a thug. Just saying he couldn't handle lil Chris Childs, who won a "Good Guy" award from the NY media. So why are you talking about you would have went at Ibaka? Come on Kobe....

That Child's combo was the weakest in the history of combos. He threw one punch and then kinda threw another one as he backed away while Kobe went after him. Childs did get him good but it's not like Kobe ran away after getting hit. I honestly think he would have smacked Ibaka for that but would have been in some serious trouble if Ibaka decided to smack him back.

Um, what were you watching? Kobe elbowed that dude...and then stood there and got 2 pieced. Naw, he didn't run away, he just tried to punk a smaller guard with a bow and got 2 pieced. I'm just saying, if all you can do is throw a weak bow and get 2 pieced by a 6-3 guard from Bakersfield, CA then I highly doubt you are going to swing on a dude from the war torn Congo who has 7 inches and 20 pounds on that guard.

And Childs didn't back away until this huge 7 foot guy by the name of Shaq came over.
