    Paul Millsap?

Undersized post player, yet led nation in rebounding.

    Not comparable to Ppat.

No other meaning except than building confidence for TRob, trash time statistics.

With the substitution of Gracia instead of Greg, Houston is hoping TRob could protect the paint more than getting rebound in the rotation time, which is still not good especially in the latter of the first quarter when TRob first came in.

As I can recall when TRob in Kansas, Jeff Withney took the dirty while TRob gaining statistics, now it is time for TRob to do the dirty.

Come on TRob, still long way to go.

T Rob is undersized, 7'9" in shoes with a 7'1" wingspan?

    Doesn't sound undersized to me.

7'3 wing span my dude. Lol and he is not small i sat right by the bench to ought he's the same height as parsons and tjones saw them all side by side. He just doesn't stand straight up kinda slouches alot and get low on the court.

Actually both played in garbage time in games where their team blew the other team out. So in this context their stats are comparable.

You're missing the point though. While Patterson is more of an offensive player T-Rob has a more all-around game. Hense the rebounds and steals. Sure small sample size, but that does not stop some idiots around here in claiming that T-Rob is a bust.

I could understand the hate if we had traded for T-Rob by giving up a player like scola. But complaining because we gave up patterson. A player who probably adds about one win to our record is purely idiotic.

    No hate for TRob, man!
But still long way to go before TRob could really contribute to this team.

He contributed tonight actually. He played some good D, and willed us a few points just by being physical in the post. Also rebounded at a high level. He looked much more comfortable on the court tonight. I saw glimpses of the kind of player he'll be one day. I think he's got a bright future. He'll likely continue to go through some growing pains though.

There you go! If DMO and Robinson can replace PPat and Morris' 19.7 pts and 8.6 reb with 18 pts and 16 reb like they did tonight, then we'll quickly be improved by the trade.

I think Robinson's garbage time play bodes well for him. First, it is certainly better than sucking in garbage time. Second, coaches do pay attention to your level of effort out there even if the game itself is out of reach. Carl Landry got his chance after a good garbage time stint as a rookie. Same goes for DMo. Still a lot for him to digest, but I do feel more comfortable about him being out there now (where as I used to get a pit in my stomach about it).

Reminds me of a rookie Carl Landry, but better defense.

Not sure he has the same finishing capabilities. Landry was like a combination of Robinson and Greg Smith as a rookie.

I actually thought I was crazy and paranoid today because while he was playing he seemed a whole 2" taller which actually seemed a lot to do with his posture.

Landry had a great 6th sense for the game. He always knew where to be at the right time. It got to the point where we thought we might lose a game just because he was out during the 07-08 season. Landry embodied a hard working guy that increased his vertical by 6", worked on his jumper to where it was money night in and out. He also had the benefit of watching Scola play, an unathletic but a whole arsenal of post moves.

Trob has star potential. He's taller than Millsap and Faried, and his speed is elite for a 4. He can be all star as 4, and in unlikely scenario(needs a lot of tuning and development depending on opportunity as well) a superstar as a 3.

He didn't play well as a rookie in his first game on a new team.

    Declare him a bust.

I still say Kenneth Faried. Millsap is more skilled up, but less physically gifted than T-Rob/Faried.

I just realized we finally have someone to guard the perimeter bigs of the league now in Robinson. Guys like Bosh, Aldridge etc. always give Asik trouble.
