ClutchFans Game Thread: Mavericks @ Rockets 3/3/2013

Lin was doing a good job facilitating the offense. Shots were going in and the defense was actually decent. DMO had some great stops. Asik had a bunch of steals, Parsons was unstoppable. Harden made 3 or 4 threes in a row and that was all she wrote

 

"adjustments"...

It was just Lin and Parsons carrying the team with a decent team D getting some stops.

 

Coach let the hot hand stay longer in the game

I am specifically asking what adjustments where made on defense.

 

We were only up by 30 points! They might of lost the lead if Lin didn't play.

 

Finally a great defensive team effort tonight, especially DMo’s intensity on defending Dirk and getting 8 rebounds, and Asik’s 5 steals. It’s excellent to see Lin at the focal point of facilitating and ball handling and Harden still getting his numbers. This is the balanced 1-2 punch that makes this backcourt so lethal.

Hopefully Robinson getting some minutes will help get him get more comfortable with the team.

Less 3s from the mavericks. so i guess better perimeter defense. Harden gave a sh&t?

 

Great game, key turning point that blew the game open was Lin's penetration and scoring it spurred the run that tied the game down 11 points and that was it, never stopped. He kept getting into lane and Parsons was nearly perfect. Harden's legs were bothering him, great game for Lin to take over the ball till Harden got his jumper going.

 

Harden had a nice game too.

Coach should let things run it's course more often in the earlier quaters and we'll see more games like this.....:grin:

Great game. Everyone pretty much played well (except maybe Delfino). That one lineup in the 2nd quarter with our bench unit was terrible though.

 

cant take anyone seriously nowadays. lol

 

I have heard that the Rockets have spent the last 5 practices on defense. Makes sense, the offense it pretty much set.

 

Robinson has great foot speed and side to side movement on defense There were plays he was staying with their PG's interms of side to side movement. He also has great hands on defense. I think with a pre-season and a solid training camp under McHale his low post moves wil improve intime as well.

He has a ton of tools to be a very good player for the next 10 to 12 years.
