haha cheers man, it really niggles me the Tmac hate. I can understand it, certainly was a frustrating time as a Rockets fan but how could you not enjoy those years when you look back?

Tmac was a broken player the year his knee injury struck. I can watch YaoMac highlights with a smile, a real what could have been.:(

t-mac put up 25/6/7 and 27/8/7 in both series against the jazz with a broken back and one knee.

and people still have the audacity to say he quit on this team?! LMAO.

What has he done to earn forgiveness?

Lets revisit why Rockets fans don't like the guy.

He became malcontent, quit on the team when he did not get the playing time he thought he deserved despite the fact that everyone could his play did not warrant the playing time. The team and the organization did everything they could to work with him and back spasms, as well as the issues he had with his knees.

Then screwed the team over by getting microfracture surgery without even communicating with anyone in the organization. I believe the organization was in trade talks to acquire a player that would have put us in title contention, and the sugery was basically a way to c*ck block the trade.

On top of that, he was lazy with his workout routine and did not have the stamina and endurance required for playoff games.

He basically shlt on the organization when quit and stabbed them in the back when he had the micro-fracture surgery on his knees.

He has not apologized for his behavior nor has done anything since that time to warrant forgiveness.

When the Rockets did go the playoffs, it was always someone else that was the heart fo the team that pushed them.

and to KiwiRocket, if my memory serves me well, it was Bob Sura that was the emotional heart of the team when they went to the playoffs on 05 and really pushed them. (Can someone else on the board confirm this?)

09 it was Ron Artest who was the emotional leader on the rockets.

so you're telling me he put up those SICK stats in the playoffs and he didn't even have optimal stamina or endurance? wow, that is a true testament to how great he is.

Good question. Did he ever do anything so bad that we all need to struggle to forgive him years later while he's out of the league? We don't know what happened behind closed doors. We all like to think we have our own version of the story. You know how people love controversy.

Maybe you can explain why the fact that Sura and Artest were emotional leaders is a negative towards McGrady? Can the same be said of Yao? Sura and Artest weren't dropping TMac stat-lines in the playoffs. Yao and Sura were both part of the worst playoff loss of the decade.

I'll just end with the most obvious result of every TMac debate: basketball is a team sport. The losses are on TMac - and everyone else.

lol Im sorry bout i had to laugh...Yeah I remember all that stuff re microfracture surgery but what exactly did he screw us out of? Vince Carter? lol I mean seriously let it go dude...

Do you also know Tmac lead the league in minutes played for years in Orlando and was playing 40 plus for the Rockets on a nightly basis. His body broke down, what exactly did you want him to do? workout off the court till his broke back gave in?

Also Bob Sura was a great glue guy and hustle guy but lets not pretend that if Tmac wasnt playing that Sura would have led us to anything, emotional leader or not Tmac and Yao were the Rockets.
Sura was a role player, plain and simple.
