He is currently #2 behind Dwight. He is averaging 11.7 and Dwight 11.9

Not a ton of games left but would be amazing if he got it. Would be another reason for him to get the MIP

Nah, I think he'll end up finishing 3rd or 4th when it's all said and done. I fully expect Robinson to grab some of his rebounds as he gets comfortable. Dwight is just starting to come around & Gasol is still out. Vucevic is pretty much the only rebounder in Oralndo.

He could surely do it, but he would need to average 35 minutes a game or more in order to do it.

I doubt McHale will allow him to play that much due to small ball. He is only averaging 30.1 minutes a game right now through the season. Maybe his conditioning won't hold up for that many minutes, but if he is able, it would also help our overall defense and ability to win more games.

But it would definitely be nice if he could accomplish that feat!

    Doesn't Varejao average 14.4 / gm?

Or is he not in contention because he's been out?

+++ This. I think it would be unfair to take the title away from Varejao just because he got injured. There must be some sort of minimum rebound amount to be eligible for the rebounding champ title.

If T-Rob doesn't take them all now, sure.

He has only played 25 games and I believe he is out for the season, I don't know why he should be awarded the title. Even if it was based on a minumum amount of rebounds, he most likely still wouldn't be eligible.

Omer has a chance to win it, if he were to play more minutes he could catch up. He is averaging about the same as Dwight in about 5 minutes less. Even without the increase in time, he could still win it

Asik is currently #1 in terms of total rebounds made at 699. Varejao only had 361 this season even though he had 14.4 rebounds per game.

Depends on D-MO ability to steal rebounds from Asik

btw, our VERY last game of the year is versus the Lakers

Would be exciting if the rebounding title as based on the last game!

But hats off to Omer. Pretty amazing. I mean, I don't think ANYONE would have guessed he would be #2 right now behind Dwight and only .2 behind. That is pretty sick on his part and Moreys

From what I've seen, D-Mo is a better rebounder than Patterson or Morris so I'm going to assume that Omer's finally going to get some help on the boards and it most likely means his board numbers will not surpass D12

If McFail let him play at the end of games, he'll sure be the top rebounder this year.

It used to happen to Yao all the time. He hardly ever appeared in the top PPG stats at year end because he missed too many games. I am not sure what the cutoff is, but I think it is higher than one would expect.

I think he can. Honestly I think Asik has DPOY potential have thought that since he was a Bull. But our team D ranking has to improve for that to happen. Just like I think Harden has MVP potential.

He has more games over D-mo... But if D-mo gets that playing time... Sorry, "The Asik" will not get there...So what if you combine D-mo with ("The Great White Man"... "The Asik") you now have the best rebounding combo in the game.

Over all this makes our Rockets #1 in a rebounding team over everyone. Not too bad.

With this Mav's game Win we just got some D-Credibility and it was solid per game minutes played per player. Super nice.
