I've always had a problem with anger and it seems like I can't control my anger and eventually it's gonna put me in a bad position.

Certain things that gets me angry:
-when someone keeps asking me the same question over and over again.
-when someone asks a stupid question.
-when something's dont go my way.
    -trash talkers.
-people who smoke right in your face.
    -Lofs.
    -Etc...

How can I control my anger? I'm trying to better myself.

If others disrespect me or give me flack
I'll stop and think before I react
Knowing that they're going through insecure stages
I'll take the opportunity to exercise patience
I'll see it as a chance to help the other person
Nip it in the bud before it can worsen
A chance for me to be strong and sure
As I think on the Buddhas who have come before
As I praise and respect the good they've done
Knowing love can conquer hate in every situation
We need other people in order to create
The circumstances for the learning that we're here to generate
Situations that bring up our deepest fears
So we can work to release them until they're cleared
    Therefore it only makes sense
To thank our enemies despite their intent

Create an environment more suitable to your way of thinking and surround yourself with like-minded individuals, i.e. people who don't smoke, people with better comprehension skills, etc. If after that, there are still issues, look at yourself as the problem and fix any deficiencies, i.e. enunciating clearly your intent with resolve and purpose so that no questions could be asked, take the necessary steps to allow more things to go your way, etc.

Don't take everything seriously, if somebody insults you just shrug it off, because honestly why even care about what they say about you?

Now if they insult your family and friends... Hulk smash.

You need to learn to meditate. When you meditate you allow unwanted thoughts to bounce off and away from your mind. This applies to when something angers or annoys you as well. You will make those annoying and angry thoughts bounce away from your conscience and thus you won't be angry. You won't allow yourself to fixate on those type of thoughts.

I've been meditating for years now and I can't remember the last time I really got angry. It's been a few years.

Might sound silly but I wear one of these. It's made of some sort of wood. Whenever I can see myself starting to get angry or anxious, I just take it off my wrist and run it through my fingers, kind of like Catholics do with a rosary, trying to calm myself and meditate a bit. Sort of a ritual that brings you back to the place you'd like to be.

When I feel like that I always ask myself what good is getting mad about it? Think your way out of it. Nothing will change. There will still be LOF's, obnoxious smokers, and a never ending stream of annoying people with questions even if you yell about it or worse. You can avoid smokers most of the time. Work on being clear in advice or instruction and maybe you can cut down on stupid questions.

There is no escaping LOF's. I just remind myself most are not Rockets fans, just Lin fans, and so I don't reply much to them. I failed at that this morning though.

It really is, it takes a lot of self control. I've been in such a situation many times, your rage is coming at you and you want to just pound the guys head into the curb till he passes out. But when I think about all the **** that would happen after that the rage goes away, I just shrug it off at that point.

    Also smoking weed helps.

Something else is bothering you. You need to meditate to find out what that is - that means you need to sit somewhere with no stimulation of your senses and actually just think about it for at least 15 minutes. Thinking about it while taking a dump or being on the bus doesn't count.

In the meantime, exercise a lot and/or find an activity which allows you to safely release your anger.

Do you ever see some athlete that seems unflappable? Be like them. As you get older, you will probably get better at letting things go and confronting people in a calm way. Let *******************s be *******************s. If you lose your cool, they win. And also

smoking weed suppresses anger and if we are talking on some metaphysical level, heightens the shakras to take in other people's negative energy.
