Does Jalen Rose drink before coming on ESPN?

i dunno. i find him entertaining. he's different.

 

I like him as well.

 

He's just an idiot. That foursome doesn't work well. They need an actual host.

 

I'm not much for pre-game/post game shows anymore but Wilbon, Simmons, and Magic are pretty entertaining. I'll watch a whole half hour of them talking. Jalen is like a court jester though.

 

Magic is the worst. I agree Jalen doesn't sound like a pro during pre/post game stuff but his podcast are pretty great.

 

I thought Jalen was respected as an analyst?

 

Not everyone can have chemistry like EJ, Kenny and Charles.

 

I'm surprised too that they use Jalen as the host. Wilbon is much better and has experience on PTI.

Jalen sounds like a normal guy off the street dropped into formal hosting.

But he's good as a conversationalist on the Grantland podcasts. I said the same for Simmons on another thread.

 

Jalen suuuucks. Listening to him is so painful. He's got that weird monotone-yelling-at-a-normal-decibel thing going on

 

It could be worse. Such as last year when they had BROUSSARD and JON BARRY.

I have so much respect for him. He has his own school in Detroit to help the childrens. Schools in detroit has one of the most dropouts and Jalen is trying to change that.
And he was the only one who said to the media to respect players and stop namecalling them.
And he is waaaaaaaaaaayyyy better than Stephen assh***e Smith and Skippy Baseless.

 

I see what OP is saying, Jalen is just trying too hard to create an identity with all that yelling, instead of just focusing on his analysis which he is lacking. Bruce Bowen suffers from the same thing in my opinion, his NBA lockdown podcast is grating on the ears.

 

I like Jalen but they need Stuart Scott back at the table. He sounds like me doing the halftime show.

 

The one I don't like much in that group in Magic.

 

Magic is so biased it's unwatchable. Wilbon is a big time chicago fan but he doesn't go overboard like Magic. Get him off the set already.

 

He's one of the better tv analyst, he actually knows what he is talking about, his basketball breakdowns are more on point

 

How can anyone dislike Magic freakin Johnson???.... Love when he cant think of the correct word to use and makes one up ala Jesse Jackson...... I remember him saying one time " The Thunder can't OUT-ATHLETE Lebron"..... classic... Love that dude
